"Gay pride or LGBT pride is the positive stance against discrimination..."

"Straight pride is a slogan... used primarily by social conservative groups... Support for straight pride events is often based on religious objections to homosexuality"

Have y'all been allies and supporting your straight friends this past month?

Look! Craycray is changing his strategy. Instead of signing on (this account, among the several sock accounts he uses) simply to harass others he's taken the liberty to actually start a (very stupid) thread all on his own.

You know? Not that it means much coming from me. But you're better off being the aggressive anal fissure of RJ with your insults, attacks and lies. At least you're more interesting when you sign on using your multiple sock accounts to bully others on the site. Otherwise, you're just boring.

"It's Not Homophobic To Have Pride In Your Straightness"

It would depend on the context. Men (or women) who seek connections with the opposite gender ASSUME all others do too--and so, do not make a case about it. I think only when someone "gay" gets militant about his/her sexuality will there be a confrontation.

I think people who only have being gay, straight, black, white, etc. to be proud of is really sad. I mean, is that all you can bring to the table?

I think it has negative connotation due to how it has been used in past and by whom.

Theres nothing wrong if straight people were to rebrand the term to be associated with positivity like people did with queer .

I think where it does become homophobic is when it is used to encourage heteronormativity and subtly hint that anything other that straight is abnormal

I agree. It's a sad day when people dish out the same stuff all the time.

Everyone is entitled to have pride in whatever they are, and everyone should be entitled to express that pride as well. It's particularly hypocritical for gays to state otherwise. If you're confident in your gay pride, you don't have an issue with straight pride.

Since Wikipedia is "the free encyclopedia anyone can edit", it's probably safe to assume that some bitter, hypersensitive, hypocritical queen with control issues composed the straight pride entry.

I like alpha males and their 'straightness'. But when it becomes an oppressive thing i'm not interested.
