I saw those advertised just yesterday. Very cool! I would like to hear the sound quality, or hear a reliable review. Plus, I wonder if they also have noise reduction cancelling.

Lumpy; the Apple Lighting Port -> 3mm audio adapter you picture does NOT have GPS functionality or heart rate monitoring!

I was only addressing the issue of no 3mm ear phone jack.

Ear buds with a heart rate monitor, and gps? I was also puzzled about the 4gb of storage. Anyhow, seems like a very narrow niche product to me.

I tried these at Brookstone here in Dallas last week and was very let down with the sound quality. I'm big on testing bluetooth earbuds for volume and clarity. These had neither!! I tried 8 ways to Tuesday to try and get more sound of them, but they just weren't loud enough, even on the highest level. The Bass was muddy and the Treble was weak. I'd rate them a mere 4 out of 10. Even the corded Beats 2 had better balance and I'm not a Beats fan at all. Plus, I'm trying to ditch the cord.
Hopefully one day, they will invent quality ear buds without the need for wires...
Till then, it's back to the drawing table.icon_neutral.gif

Has Apple released their own Bluetooth ear buds (AirPods) for the iPhone 7 yet? I think were projected for late October. The initial photos didn't look very attractive, very large and dorky-looking, like wearing those Bluetooth cell phone earpieces that became a fad a few years ago. Except now you'd have 2 of them, one for each ear. And more things to be charging all the time.

My understanding is that the 7 comes with a Lightening connector adapter, that in turns accepts 3.5mm wired ear buds or headphones. Plus it ships with wired buds that already have a Lightening plug. With presumably the same sound quality that the 3.5mm jack provides. But of course that means still using a cord.

I'm thinking about getting a 7, but with the short supply and stores mobbed I usually wait when something new comes out. Plus I like to hear the real-world reviews after it's been in service a little while. I can be patient if my old one is still working. Although I especially like the continuing camera improvements, and new water resistance, plus some other iPhone 7 features I'd actually use.
