I was born in the early 80s, I do remember some 80s songs as a kid in the late 80s and early 90s. Do any of that songs sound similar? 80s is back?!

Ironically the band The 1975's new album is extremely 80's sounding, in a good way.

Yes that is true. 80s is back alive again. The 1975 - "The Sound" and the video looks more like 80s.

Dunno... Arguably, the 80's was the last time that musicians actually knew how to play their own instruments.
Now, every mouth-breathing kid has more recording studio technology under his bed than 80's - or the whole of human history - virtuosos had. And sadly, we seem to be the worse for it.

If everything you hear is made by pressing one finger on a keyboard.... No. It's just crap.

Another one of my favorite bands right now. Start listening at: 1:15 and tell me who this sounds like. The resemblance is uncanny. It's easier if you don't look at the video.

If any song can be described as played like that it must be Laurie Anderson's "O Superman" from 1981. She had a hit with it over here, quite divisive , a love/hate record. I was in the 1st category.
