A little early, perhaps, but catching the flu could be very serious for my husband & me, given our ages and medical histories. Cost me nothing, and I complimented the person who gave me it, I literally felt nothing. Didn't cost anything, either. The senior citizens version, for over 65, is basically a double dose.

My husband has to wait, he's got a cold for which he's taking antibiotics right now. He saw our doctor this week, he'll get his shot when the doctor says it's OK.

I know this subject is hotly debated here each year, but I obviously encourage flu shots. I had the flu a couple of times before any vaccine was available. And was sicker than I ever want to be again. Since taking the shots for 40 years I've had no flu recurrence. Maybe just good luck, but I'm not gonna risk it.
