Tensions Deepen Between Donald Trump and R.N.C.

The Republican National Committee had high hopes that Donald J. Trump would deliver a compassionate and measured speech about immigration on Wednesday, and prepared to lavish praise on the candidate on the party’s Twitter account.

So when Mr. Trump instead offered a fiery denunciation of migrant criminals and suggested deporting Hillary Clinton, Reince Priebus, the party chairman, signaled that aides should scrap the plan, and the committee made no statement at all.

The evening tore a painful new wound in Mr. Trump’s relationship with the Republican National Committee, imperiling his most important remaining political alliance.

Mr. Trump, who has struggled to raise money, is dependent on his party’s national committee to perform many of the basic functions of a presidential campaign. Should the partnership continue to deteriorate, it could hinder Mr. Trump’s bid for a late comeback in the race.

There's a lot more happening between the Trump campaign, the RNC and the GOP that's not being reported YET. The halls of Congress are awash with all kinds of information. You have to be there to understand.

These are all the crooked, entrenched, establishment politicians that are bent out of shape over the rapidly rising popularity of Donald Trump. Oh well, tough shiticon_exclaim.gif

I'm sorry, I cannot. I'm not in the habit of repeating what I hear in the halls of Congress. Believe it or not, trust is a key commodity amongst congressional folks and practitioners. I will leave the reporting/elucidation to professional reporters and media practitioners. What I can tell you is that often times I get a preview of what's going to happen before it actually happens, but we do respect our sources and we never disclose them. Let's leave it at that.

Tough shit, indeed. For Trump and downticket Republicans. Who are increasingly bailing from his campaign and trying to save their own hides. Get your nose out of Fox News and you might learn something.

    A elephunt comes to mind...

This is similar to the weird position he initially put them in, that they probably would have rather ridden themselves of him at their convention but they didn't have the balls to risk not just party cohesion but an outright split of it. That probably would have set them back a few decades but also that would have asserted the integrity which would have better assured an eventual comeback, perhaps even as a kinder gentler GOP.

So the party that stacks the deck has dealt themselves a really bad hand, that their best bet now is to feign wanting the election while working to lose it in the hopes of saving face without destroying the body--an animal stuck in a bear trap but too vein to gnaw off its leg--and then once their election loss saves them, they'll limp along in full on all four but feeble legs, kicking Hillary as consolation prize for participating in the event.

In life there is comedy and there is tragedy and then there are the Republicans who have turned themselves into a joke.

Another Hillary shit storm is due anytime- have there been any recent sightings? Actually Fox news is not that good- I think Breitbart is better.

Trump catches up to Clinton, latest Reuters/Ipsos poll finds
    http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-election-poll-idUSKCN1182PT

This development comes even after Reuters/Ipsos changed its methodology months ago… once Trump overtook Clinton in a dramatic 17-point swing.

Republicans are outraged because Trump's campaign is such an incompetent mess.
In several swing states he has one field office and Hillary has dozens.
He tells people he doesn't need a ground game -- he just likes going on TV and holding rallies so people will cheer from him.
Looks like he's heading for a huge loss based on the polls.

Trump’s poll numbers don’t match Clinton’s electoral map realities

Put the reliably red states in Trump’s column and reliably blue in Clinton’s. She starts off with 242 electoral votes to 180 for Trump. That leaves 10 potential battleground states — Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, New Hampshire, Ohio, Iowa, Indiana, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico — with a total of 116 electoral votes.

Trump practically has to sweep those states to win. But Clinton could lose every one of those states except Florida and still win the presidency. Or she could merely win Virginia (where she is heavily favored) and Ohio (where she narrowly leads). In other words, she has multiple paths, Trump doesn’t.

What's really disturbing is that Trump's bigotry, prejudice, and just plain craziness would attract any voters. Some of the the RJ trolls here I understand, they're just nutjobs to begin with.

But it appears the Republican tactic of attacking Hillary personally is having some effect for them. Lacking any rational policy (and certainly not from The Donald, he changes by the hour) their only tactic is to attack her personally. I guess it's having some benefit for them. No matter how false. The truth won't be discovered until after November, a good strategy for Republicans.

And the RJ trolls, getting their leads from the Republican Party, directly or indirectly (though it is remarkable how they all parrot the same things), will keep this crap up until election day. Just like they did against Obama in the last 2 elections.

The delusions of a narcissist. Anyone who wants to see another corrupt Clinton in the White House, loves America as much as OJ loved Nicole.
