Another example why the NY Times has lost credibility with those seeking fair and objective reporting

They previously justified their plan to discard journalistic standards to support what they "believe" in. Includes slanting and even making up stories:
    http://www.nytimes.com/2016/08/08/business/balance-fairness-and-a-proudly-provocative-presidential-candidate.html

Their most recent demonstration in this piece:
Tensions Deepen Between Donald Trump and R.N.C.

They are not able to cite any source to support their point. The only actual quotes they cite state the exact opposite:

Mr. Priebus said in a statement that there was no significant friction between his committee and the Trump campaign, describing theirs as a “fantastic working relationship.”

“Any insinuation to the contrary is purely overblown gossip,” Mr. Priebus said.

And Jason Miller, Mr. Trump’s spokesman, said: “Cooperation between the Trump campaign and the R.N.C. has never been better — we are fully integrated. Everybody knows what has to be done to elect Mr. Trump and stop Hillary Clinton.”

He would say that, wouldn't he?

I'll take the NYT any day over the joke news sites from which RJ's conservarump tend to quote - Breitbart, Washington Free Beacon, American Thinker etc.

The New York Times is now a worthless rag of a newspaper along with all the other leftist news organizations like CNN News, MSNBC, The Washington Post, etc. But you are a brain dead ultra leftist so obviously you will read and believe the lies and distortions of the New York Times which has rapidly declined from the newspaper of record to the newspaper of zero credibility.

The New York Times along with all the other mainstream corporate media are getting desperate these days, they are bleeding subscriptions as more people turn to other more honest and objective media sources. It is big, major foreign banks that are propping up mainstream corporate media outlets like the New York Times, the Washington Post, CNN News, MSNBC, etc. Otherwise most of these mainstream media sources would have filed for bankruptcy and gone under a long time ago and that is no bullshit.

Yup - expect a continuation of the same for the next several weeks.

Please quote the NYT "Stated Plan" you claimed. 'Between the lines" you imagine to exist, as allegedly written by some journalists, is not the "Stated Plan" of the New York Times. Try again.

The words of their journalist and their actions clearly demonstrate the stated plan of the NY Times. Obvious. But someone who believes Hillary is fundamentally honest will also believe the NY Times is fundamentally honest.

If you look at the specific example I cited, the theme of GOP/Trump friction is frequently the subject of left wing rags beginning during the Spring whenever they could not find anything other anti-Trump stories. In the current story, they could not support their major theme by any source. In fact the sources quoted stated the opposite. You could assume the sources would deny friction if it did in fact exist, but they might have just as likely refused comment. In any event there was no source that supported the story but that did not prevent them from creating their current concoction.

Well one can certainly not believe that YOU are honest. I asked you to justify, with quotes, where the New York Times has a "Stated Plan to Make Up News to Further Their Cause".

You have not. Instead you have danced around, very Donald Trump style, to say that the words of a journalist and the NYT's "actions clearly demonstrate the stated plan."

OK, so quote this for us. And BTW, a "stated plan" means they state their plan. It's not something anyone can infer. One might say a "suspected" plan, but "stated" means they've stated it.

If you can't provide that quote, then you lose this discussion. Deflecting to Hillary Clinton does not let you off the hook.

literal vs figurative - figure that one out. If you want to claim victory go ahead. Means nothing. However you slice it the NY Times is dishonest whether they stated their intent or implied their intent.

I love it. When Right Wingers are caught in a falsehood, and can't prove their statement, they resort to rationalizations and all kinds of verbal gymnastics.

Their marginally-educated base will no doubt accept that gobbly-degook. Our only hope as a nation resides with educated voters. Whose numbers I suspect are declining, and by design.

I've always found RJ, at least, to have pretty smart members, some much smarter than I am. I hope they can see through the smoke & mirrors the Republicans are using. Including all the trolls they've got here.

That's fine. Go ahead and say I wasn't truthful because I used a metafore that everyone understood. But Hillary is relevant because she demonstrates a double standard. As far as I recall you have never criticized any of the statements she made that were found to be false.

Nope. You both claim a metafore is a lie but have never acknowledged how your candidate H has lied. Relevant because indicates your double standard.

Is "metafore" a metaphor for the lack of spellcheck at the Trump troll factory?

You were using a METAPHOR? A new application for the word, I think.

As I wrote above in this thread: "When Right Wingers are caught in a falsehood, and can't prove their statement, they resort to rationalizations and all kinds of verbal gymnastics." Also by shifting attention to attacks on others.

Thank you for demonstrating my point so clearly. icon_biggrin.gif

If it makes you happy fine. Fact is you claim a metafore is false because the NY Times did not use the exact words I said they did, even though the meaning was obvious - but no problem with Obama "If you like your plan you can keep it." when he knew it was not true, then "I have no power to change the deportation law" at least 29 times until he decided he did. And of course Hillary claiming she sent no classified material. ..... You people have done far more than drink the Kool-Aid,

What's a "metafore"? Do you mean metaphor?

When you make a slanderous claim about someone or some organization, and then can't support your claim, that's not a metaphor. It's a lie, a misrepresentation, a falsehood. Sorry if you don't like facing the truth, I know Right Wingers never like being confronted with facts that contradict them.

Yes it is going to happen because most Americans don't like or trust the Wicked Witch of Wall Street, Hillary rotten Clinton.

The New York Times is another ultra leftist, corporate rag that has zero credibility as far as politics and political candidates are concerned. Hopefully this propaganda piece of shit newspaper will finally go bankrupt and go out of existence which would be the best thing to ever happen to American media.

NY Times Again Demonstrating Their Stated Plan To Make Up News To Further Their Cause. Latest Example RNC/Trump Conflict

The OP again makes this claim about a "stated plan" by the New York Times. And I ask again, what is your proof of this "stated plan"?

Such a plan, to be "stated" by a newspaper, has been published. Where is the link to it? Where are the quotes from this statement?

Pure extremist Right Wing BS, pure and simple. Throw out all kinds of crazy accusations, and hope some naive voters will believe at least some of it.

The problem for the OP is that this audience is RJ. A pretty educated and savy group. Many of them a lot smarter than I am. And his propaganda only plays to about less than a dozen hardcore fellow Trump supporters here. So his handlers' money is wasted, they're not making any inroads.
