Former Secretary of State Colin Powell has reportedly called Republican nominee Donald Trump a "national disgrace," according to leaked emails.

The former secretary of state, who served during George W Bush's administration, also called Mr Trump an "international pariah" who "is in the process of destroying himself".

The Republican retired four-star general's comments were revealed in a hack on his personal emails.

Powell may want to speak up soon if these are his thoughts on Trump. Too many Republicans want to preserve their Party status rather than speak the obvious, and do it NOW.

I agree with Powell, of course, but truthfully, I don't give a flying fuck what this guy thinks. He was rude to Bill Clinton publicly when Bill offered him a job in his administration which was vile (and just plain rude to a new sitting President) and was a very big part of the campaign to to sell Bush's phony war. More American men died because of it than Bin Laden killed not to mention the maimed both physically and mentally. Not to mention the 100,000 Iraqi's and the empowerment of Iran and the formation of Isis. This guy, as well as Condoleezza Rice and the rest of the war criminals in that administration (many of which are now on Trump's team) should be ostracized and shamed for their part in leading America into the worst thing any administration can do, a fake war.

I agree that Sec. Powell should have spoken publicly against Trump much earlier. I do believe, however, that the hack is fortuitous because it shows Powell's PRIVATE ruminations/thoughts. In other words, it's clear that his email comments were not politically motivated, but rather a private indictment of the Republican nominee. I think that's even more powerful.
