Donald Trump has pledged to repeal Barack Obama’s LGBT rights orders and sign a law permitting discrimination.
Mr Trump was once a moderate within the Republican Party on LGBT issues, suggesting that people shouldn’t be fired because of their sexuality.

But in a display of just how far he has sunk on the issue, the Presidential hopeful this week confirmed he would sign a extreme Republican-backed law to directly permit homophobic discrimination.

In a statement, Trump confirmed he would sign the so-called First Amendment Defence Act, which bans the government from taking any action “action against a person, wholly or partially on the basis that such person believes or acts in accordance with a religious belief or moral conviction that marriage is or should be recognised as the union of one man and one woman, or that sexual relations are properly reserved to such a marriage.”

The broadly written law would effectively legalise all discrimination against LGBT people in all sectors – from employment to retail to healthcare – as long as the person discriminating claims it was due to their religion.

The shocking would require the repeal of Barack Obama’s landmark LGBT discrimination protections, which Trump also confirmed he would axe. He said in a statement: “Religious liberty is enshrined in the First Amendment to the Constitution.

“It is our first liberty and provides the most important protection in that it protects our right of conscience. Activist judges and executive orders issued by Presidents who have no regard for the Constitution have put these protections in jeopardy.

“If I am elected president and Congress passes the First Amendment Defense Act, I will sign it to protect the deeply held religious beliefs of Catholics and the beliefs of Americans of all faiths.

This obviously is just more ultra leftist, fear mongering propaganda and all you guys are stupid enough to believe it. Donald Trump is not and will never be anti gay so get off of this baseless bullshit. If anyone is the hypocrite and has used gay and lesbian votes just to get elected and further her own self aggrandizement, it is the Wicked Witch of Wall Street, Hillary rotten Clinton who is clearly the worst Presidential candidate in US history.

^^^ This ^^^ Trump has never been anti-gay, and I feel pretty confident he never will be. I do think that he will work to find that middle-ground in which gay rights are respected while honoring religious liberties. I do not believe he will allow religion to be used as a discrimination tool. That would be a huge disappointment if he did.

Trump is a piece of shit.

http://www.lgbtqnation.com/2016/09/trump-brings-anti-gay-former-rival-santorum-advisor/Trump brings on anti-gay former rival Santorum as an advisor

Donald Trump reinforced his anti-LGBTQ positions yesterday with the creation of a Catholic Advisory Group including anti-gay, two-time presidential candidate Rick Santorum.

Santorum has previously accused the LGBTQ community of declaring a “jihad” against him and has compared same-sex relationships to bestiality, incest, and pedophilia.

http://www.advocate.com/election/2016/9/24/donald-trumps-scary-supreme-court-picksDonald Trump's Scary Supreme Court Picks

Donald Trump Friday released a second list of his potential Supreme Court nominees, and it's just as scary for LGBT people — and anyone who cares about civil liberties — as the first.

The list seems designed to solidify Trump's support among the far right, the Associated Press notes, and it appears to have succeeded — shortly after it was released, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, Trump's biggest rival during the Republican primary season, finally endorsed Trump's presidential bid. He specifically cited the list of court picks and its inclusion of U.S. Sen. Mike Lee of Utah, one of the Senate's most anti-LGBT members.

There are much more pressing issues facing our country at the moment I seriously doubt that he sits around thinking hmmm how can I hurt gay people-gimme a break! At least he doesn't take millions from countries that kill gays like his opponent.

Duh, how would Trump get the law through the Senate? A simple majority of Republicans won't do it, Democrats and moderate Republicans will block it before it gets to a floor vote.

Trump won't be able to overturn Obamacare.

Hillary won't get $15 per hour, Free College Tuition or her other freebees through the House of Reps.

There will be a huge infrastructure bill.

Well how can any gay man in their right mind vote for a crooked, power hungry, incompetent whore like Hillary rotten Clinton who panders to us for our votes and than breaks every campaign promise because for one thing she is only seeking elected office to further her own self aggrandizement. Why can't you liberals admit that you are all dead wrong for supporting the hapless Hillary ho and face the harsh truth that she is not for our rights or for anyone else's rights. She is only interested in feathering her own little nest along with lining her pockets with more money. It is all you brain dead Hillary lovers and supporters who need to stay home on Election Day. Voting for the Wicked Witch of Wall Street for President is a treasonous act against the future and wellbeing of this great country.

Ones homosexuality doesn't define one as a whole; even as a Bonafide Homosexual. Thus other aspects of life, effects one too. Hillary doesn't care for homos, or bi's, only the pink vote.

KY Gov. Matt Bevin: Election Of Hillary Clinton May Call For Shedding Blood Of 'Tyrants' And 'Patriots'
    http://www.rightwingwatch.org/content/ky-gov-matt-bevin-election-hillary-clinton-may-call-shedding-blood-tyrants-and-patriots

Numerous speakers at last weekend’s Values Voter Summit suggested that the American republic might not survive a Hillary Clinton presidency. During the Obama administration it has become almost routine to hear far-right leaders talk about the possibility of armed revolution against the federal government. But it was still jarring to hear a sitting governor suggest that America might only survive the election of Hillary Clinton through bloodshed.

Matt Bevin, who was elected governor of Kentucky last year after expressing “absolute” support for marriage-refusing county clerk Kim Davis, received the Distinguished Christian Statesman award from the D. James Kennedy Center for Christian Statesmanship on Friday night. Speaking on Saturday, he told VVS attendees that the country is facing a fork in the road: “We don’t have multiple options; we’re going one way or we’re going the other way, politically, spiritually, morally, economically, from a liberty standpoint. We’re going one way or we’re going the other way.”

Bevin recounted a story from his college days about how he confronted a professor who he said mocked Christianity, the way liberals always do: “They try to silence us. They try to get us to shut our mouths. They try to embarrass us. Don’t be embarrassed. We were not redeemed to have a spirit of timidity.” He urged young people, “Be bold. There’s enough Neville Chamberlains in the world. Be a Winston Churchill…There are quite enough sheep already. Be a shepherd.”

American freedom, Bevin said, was “purchased at an extraordinary price,” saying that one and a half million Americans have given their lives in uniform. “America is worth fighting for. America is worth fighting for, ideologically.”

“I want us to be able to fight ideologically, mentally, spiritually, economically, so that we don’t have to do it physically,” said Bevin. “But that may in fact be the case.” He explained that it might take the shedding of the blood of tyrants and patriots for America to survive a Hillary Clinton presidency

Somebody asked me yesterday, I did an interview and they said, “Do you think it’s possible, if Hillary Clinton were to win the election, do you think it’s possible that we’ll be able to survive? That we would ever be able to recover as a nation? And while there are people who have stood on this stage and said we would not, I would beg to differ. But I will tell you this: I do think it would be possible, but at what price? At what price? The roots of the tree of liberty are watered by what? The blood, of who? The tyrants to be sure, but who else? The patriots. Whose blood will be shed? It may be that of those in this room. It might be that of our children and grandchildren. I have nine children. It breaks my heart to think that it might be their blood that is needed to redeem something, to reclaim something, that we through our apathy and our indifference have given away.

Well if you are so concerned about the blood of patriots and the future of this great country than you wouldn't be supporting the most unfit and unqualified Presidential candidate in US history, Hillary rotten Clinton. But you are way too liberal for your own good and you are obviously a naive single issue voter who could care less about the future and wellbeing of the USA. You are also a blind sycophant of the corrupt incompetent Democratic Party the organization that has ruined most older northern US cities with their 50+ years of monolithic rule and horrendously failed urban policies. My home state of New York is now not only number one in taxes but also in political corruption thanks to the donkey dork democrats. Pennsylvania is a close number two in political corruption most likely thanks to the donkey dork democrats. But what do you care, you are sitting in beautiful, sunny Southern California living the good life and believing all the drivel and distortions that the donkey dork democrats are force feeding you.

Almost everything bad you can say about Hillary Clinton, you can say much worse for Donald Trump.

    1. Her emails? She was Secretary of State. Yeah, she's pretty much paid to lie on behalf of the country. As for the FBI finding disturbing material on her use of emails, yeah. That is bad, sure, but it isn't so bad enough that Obama is aware of what she has done and hasn't charged her with treason. Trust Hillary? Perhaps not, but I absolutely trust Obama.
1.1 Donald Trump has refused over and over to release his tax returns and the campaign has all but flat-out said that the reasoning for doing this is because it would make Trump look worse than the flak he gets by not doing it. What rational reason could there be for wanting to delay this until after he's elected? What kind of message does that send?

    2. Hillary Clinton is friends with World Leaders who kill gays? Sure, but the United States is allied with lots of countries who either execute or jail gays for prolonged periods of time. As a global leader, as an LGBT activist, the rational response here is not to irritate those leaders on one issue you don't agree on when you can set trade agreements that benefit your country far more than influencing their policy.
2.1 Donald Trump isn't forgiven about his recent bashings of LGBT and Women's rights by being Pro-Choice in the past. Unlike Clinton, he doesn't stand for us anymore, and the endorsement of Mike Pence speaks effing volumes on that. He's going to want to be re-elected, how the hell do you think these anti-gay groups are going to react if he lets Pence do all the anti-gay crap for him? Not to mention, letting the Republicans have the pick of the new Supreme Court Judges would be a damn STUPID thing for our community to let happen in our case laws. I don't care your laxed views on Trump in this matter, because he's not going to allow the Democrats the judge pick. How far back do you want to set back everything this community has gotten under Obama?

    3. Bengazi? Stop mentioning it. The CIA has investigated this issue NINE TIMES. Each of those additional times ultimately proven a total waste of resources. She did everything she could on this matter. Move on.
3.1 Donald Trump insulted a Gold Star family purely on the basis of their Islamic faith, and then went on to say that John McCain isn't a hero due to being a POW. During the CIC Forum last month, he incorrectly fact-checked a veteran about how many were committing suicide a month, said veteran was clearly visibly irritated with him. Donald Trump laughs at how seriously he treats the military on this front.

    4. Basket of Deplorables? You should actually search statistics on this statement, it was completely and 100% true when you see the Trump voters' views on Obama, Blacks, Islam, and LGBT.
4.1 Meanwhile, while you're at it, I really need not add to the deplorably anti-Islamist, absolutely racist remarks Trump makes over and over, ranging from calling Black Neighbourhoods ultimately ruined (sugarcoating this), Mexicans are sexual assaulters, and he even frequently refers to Elizabeth Warren as "Pocahontas".

    5. Hillary could have handled her collaspe at 9/11 with a lot more transparency. The campaign needs to realize that secrecy for the sake of secrecy is painfully hurting them at every turn.
5.1 That being said, Trump's health letter is questionable at best, and the apparent reason for its incompetency is because said doctor was rushed to write it in five minutes? Also, to make Hillary's health a campaigning issue is a campaign tactic that should never have flown in America to begin with; her collasping in 9/11 doesn't verify any of this.

    6. I really don't care about the Clinton Organization scandals. Am I shocked that there were any? Not really. She's rich, and the rich like to cheat.
6.1 Like Trump University. Like the Trump Organization. Like the fact that Trump has paid off federal prosecutors to avoid investigation, even though everyone knows what he did here was criminal and scammed Americans out of millions. Trump's organizations are just as bad as Hillary's.
(6.1.1 - The even more insane part, that no one supporting Trump seems to care about: Trump constantly using campaign donations that everyday people give him, to pay himself as he suddenly raises the rent on his campaign offices in Trump Tower there threefold. He is actually stealing money from his voters- also outright refusing to pay many small business owners- and none of you seem to give a damn.)

    7. I have nothing to say about Hillary that is as bad as this, truthfully.
7.1 Trump's softness on Putin, and the Ukraine, and his stances on Syria among many other things, is not a group of stances worth embracing. It is a terrifying day to see a Republican Candidate endorse all the many horrors Russia has recently inflicted upon the world. And for some reason, you supporters haven't turned your back on him.

    8. Hillary supports some TYPE of law that restricts, say, guns from being bought by people on the No-Fly list. The Trump campaign twisted this to mean she wants to abolish the Second Amendment.
8.1 Meanwhile, Trump attacks the First and Sixth Amendment. The First Amendment all the damn time, especially even more so regarding the freedom of the press, and it's no secret that he's been making threat after threat after insult on news media that they're terrified of him.

And finally, the fact that the World, sans Russia, can see all of this much more clearly than average-day Americans, scares the crap out of this Canadian and many billions around the world.

Hillary is not worse than Trump, there's not even a discussion to be had on this. She's only portrayed equally as bad on the Media in order to remove the appearance of bias, while they all know that she's not.

Oh yes she is worse than Trump. She is part of the crooked, entrenched, political establishment which means that it will be business as usual in Washington and that nothing will change for the better. As for the incident in Benghazi, she was a disastrous failure and those so called nine investigations were just glorified cover ups by the Obama and democratic controlled Department of Justice. Hillary should have been forced to resign as Secretary of State. This alone proves her total incompetence for the office of President. In addition to her controversial behavior and endless shady deals as First Lady in both Little Rock and in Washington which the democrats and the corporate mainstream media have lied and covered up countless times. So don't give me your proHillary bullshit because she is the absolute worst, most dishonest, most unfit, and most unqualified Presidential candidate. She has no damn business running for the White House because she has no credible leadership skills unless you consider throwing lamps and flower vases at Bill and dropping F bombs as professional leadership skills. This corrupt, power hungry cunt will land us into World War Three a lot quicker than Donald Trump and she could get the USA blown right off the face of the earth going against both Russia and China. Yet you democrats and liberals are too goddamned stupid to see this truth and you all keep bashing Trump for no legitimate reason while supporting the far greater of two evils just because of her gender. All of you brainless, leftist fools do the USA a very good favor, stay the fuck away from the polls on Election Day. Let's us independents, moderates, conservatives, and republicans decide what is best for this great country since we are more qualified to vote and we are deeply concerned about this country's future and wellbeing. Both you democrats and liberals have lost your minds in regards to this election.

You have that all wrong bunk. It is all you democrats and liberals who have lost your minds as evidenced by the horrible choice for Presidential candidate. I am one of the moderates who is very concerned about the future and wellbeing of this country which is evidenced by my flat out rejection of the pathological liar the democrats have picked as their candidate.

You need to get out more. Plenty of intelligent, educated, successful gays who are voting Trump. This election isn't really even about gay issues, and if it were it's far more about gay safety than gay rights when it comes to the gay vote. Regardless, many gays aren't one issue voters. We have a right as gay voters to set our priorities as we deem appropriate for our own personal lives. I have no doubt in my mind that, if elected, Trump will be an advocate in the WH for LGBT issues, more so than any Republican president in history.

ChicagoSteve saidI can't imagine any gay man voting for Trump, I really can't. We have Pence for VP, who is a known homophobe, and Trump is now endorsed by crazy Cruz. Even if some of the RJer's hate Hillary, just stay home. Voting for Trump is indefensible to you and your rights as gay men.

You need to get out more. Plenty of intelligent, educated, successful gays who are voting Trump. This election isn't really even about gay issues, and if it were it's far more about gay safety than gay rights when it comes to the gay vote. Regardless, many gays aren't one issue voters. I'm having a very difficult time taking you seriously so that we can have a respectful debate here.

This very topic here highlights the depth of which Trump is willing to sink. He is willing to pass anti-LGBT bills in office- the very point of this thread. When Mike Pence and the House Republicans throw every other kind of bill in his face, do you think Trump is suddenly going to start whipping out his vetos? No, he won't, because that would ultimately ruin his re-election chances.

I respect that you defend him on issues other than this community, but this conversation has to continue with you surrendering that he is not a hero in Human Rights. That Trump is gone now. This is the kind of ugly anti-humanitarian face he wears now, and for him to keep his job, the Republicans and their agenda to reverse all pro-LGBT and pro-Abortion laws are central to Trump. If he doesn't fall in line, they are going to kick him out, period.

With that out of the way, I'm curious about something.

What five things has Trump said (and not flipped on at all) that he plans on doing as policy, and how does he plan on doing any of these things? What five policy points have you voting Trump over Clinton?

What "anti-humanitarian face"? You're entitled to your opinion but I don't see him as "anti-humanitarian" at all. In fact, quite the opposite.

As for the Republicans "kicking him out"? HA! I think they tried that in the primaries and we saw how well that worked out. Anyone who knows anything about Trump knows that, while he may be conservative fiscally in some ways, he is very liberal in others.

Before I spend my valuable time outlining 5 policy reasons why I am voting Trump, how about you first give me 5 reasons why you are voting Clinton? More importantly, what are her accomplishments over her entire career that make you think she would be a good POTUS?

The trouble with you is that you believe all the lies and propaganda from the corporate mainstream media. The problem is that you appear to be a single issue voter who only cares about gay marriage and doesn't seem to have any interest in the more pressing issues facing this country. You refuse to listen to other viewpoints and you appear to be a blind sycophant to the Democratic Party.
