Good news though is, Trump won the first debate hands down. Clinton camp, suffering Short Circuit over the reality; Heaven's to Murgatroyd.

President-Elect Hillary Clinton goaded and baited Da Donald, and he fell for it hook, line and sinker. It was comical.

Lyin' Donald soon became TIRED DONALD.

He was low energy and unprepared.
    Pathetic.

It's not possible to humiliate Trump - it just bounces off. But he did show everyone what self-centered, un-prepared, rude, small-minded, misogynist jerk he is. Though I'm sure none of his followers will care; after all, "he speaks his mind" (what there is left of it... )

Well, after all, this is the guy who claims he could kill someone in public and not be charged. So he's free to lie his head off in a nationally televised Presidential debate.

And lie he did, as I see reading some news "fact checker" summaries this morning. Hillary got a few "Well, maybe" marks on her own comments, most of them determined to be "True". But almost all of The Donald's claims were rated as "False".

And spoken right in front of the American electorate! But it won't matter to his fanatical supporters, as well he knows. Who'll declare every word he spoke to be Gospel. Problem is, will his lying performance convince enough of the undecided voters?

Hillary was poised, smiling, confident, had the real facts right at hand (and didn't faint, as one of the Right Wing clowns here was hoping). Whereas Trump was mostly angry, scowling, and merely regurgitating all his old, disproven lies. Instead of being Presidential, he came across more as grumpy, "Get off my lawn!" old man.

Trump managed to make some good points in the first 1/3 of the debate but the good points were few and far between in the last 2/3's of the debate. Trump let Clinton get under his skin and it showed. She gave him several good openings that he could have seized on -- her lecturing on cyber-security being the most glaring -- and yet Trump let most of those opportunities pass him by. Rather than pivoting off of issues like like his Tax Returns and the Bither issue, which just aren't all that important in the grand scheme of things to American voters, Trump seemed to get lost in the weeds or wandering down various rabbit holes trying to explain them. Clinton came off as calm and prepared, while Trump seemed to be winging it most of the time on the defensive. In fairness, it did seem like the moderation was tilted toward Clinton. Trump got questions on Birther and Taxes, yet no questions were asked of Clinton regarding her emails, private server, the foundation, or the fact that five of the people surrounding her have been granted Immunity. Had Trump not raised the email issue it likely may have never been brought up.

The best I can say for Trump is that he will learn from this debate and go into the final 2 learning from these mistakes and being better prepared. Let's not forget that Romney destroyed Obama in the 1st debate in 2012.

That all being said, the WIN, in my opinion, goes to Clinton in Round #1

Confirmed what I expected to happen, although at level of about 50% versus what really happened.

Most important event of the campaign so far and Trump really blew it.

As I've said here many times, no way I could vote for Trump. I'll still vote so I can vote for Rob Portman, but Trump, no way.

    Thank god for youtube.

I couldn't watch last night so have been watching a vid of it this morning. Wow, This is probably better because I keep breaking out into laughter and then I can't hear what they're saying so with the vid I get to click stop so I can gather my composure to watch another segment or go back to what I laughed over. I'd put this right up there with the Three Stooges and the Marx Brothers. Now this is entertainment!

I imagine everyone's bubble is going to tell them what they want to hear at this point. I can't conceive how anyone with a brain hasn't decided. Trump's people are arguing that Holt wasn't fair because he didn't bring up any of the disproven conspiracy theories about the emails, Bengazy, etc and because he wouldn't let Trump lie about his position on the war. Again, anytime Trump looks or sounds nauseating, it is a conspiracy. Hillary, on the other hand, truly failed to address the economic issues at the start of the debate and this is what a lot of what the lesser Deplorables are mainly looking at as a reason to be for Trump and, I'm afraid, a big chunk of the Millennials who are on the fence. The people who are going to move the needle one way or another aren't going to use logic to choose. They're going to swing with their latest FB post and peer pressure.

And at his most honest. Because he really does believe that his "smartness" (that he's already claimed is at genius level), simply entitles him to avoid taxes.

Remember a real estate billionaire mogul's wife also from NYC, Leona Helmsley, the "Queen of Mean"? Who publicly stated: "Only the little people pay taxes", when caught underpaying her own. I guess it's an endemic attitude among wealthy NYC property owners.

She went to prison for tax evasion? I was aghast, but not surprised Trump "admitted" he doesn't pay taxes

Last nights debate performance by Donald Trump was disappointing to say the least.
He allowed the crooked, power hungry cunt to get on his nerves which should have never happened but it is over and let bygones be bygones. However if Donald is to win the next two debates, he is going to have to start acting professional and Presidential and abandon the angry old white man persona. Otherwise he is going to be humiliated and than this country will be in extremely deep shit that it might never recover from. If that is the case, than we can only hope that both the Green and Libertarian candidates will attract huge numbers of voters despite both being horrendously underfunded and the corporate mainstream media ignoring them. Hopefully one of the alternative candidates can shock the nation by winning the White House or indirectly help Donald Trump win the White House. Otherwise if the crooked, power hungry, incompetent whore wins the White House than the USA is in for a disastrous free fall that could pretty much spell the end of this country as we know it.

Clinton alone managed to do what a whole gaggle of Republican contenders failed to do - she held Trump's feet to the fire. Well done Hillary!

The reality is different from how many of you perceive it. I shall include my post from my topic posted this afternoon here.

HotBlokeWestminster saidThis looks so much like what we experienced earlier this year. Our media tried very hard to make it seem like Brexit would never pass but the people stopped paying attention to the media and stopped thinking the way the media wanted them to think. Here are some polling results that The Daily Mail put together showing how you Yanks reacted to the debate.
