    There is an issue that has some merit. Traditionally water systems have been the responsibility of local municipalities, not the Federal government. The problem in Flint is lead pipes that should have been replaced decades ago and were not. Unfortunately they're finding a lot of cities with the same issue, the pipes, not the chemical additive issue, now that it has become a focus. Just like FEMA, everyone wants Federal money for their issues and the ridiculous part is many of those places are the ones who bitch the loudest about Federal government. I'm not saying we shouldn't help collectively, but it will open a floodgate. I seriously wish a more thought-through approach was being devised but I guess that's not what Congress does these days.
