The first debate was a defeat for Trump. Here’s why the second could be an outright massacre.

If the first step to fixing your problem is acknowledging you have a problem, Donald Trump is in some serious trouble. We’re ten days from his second debate with Hillary Clinton, and while most voters and virtually every sane observer agree that Trump did poorly in the first debate, a spate of reporting suggests that his campaign, and especially Trump himself, are in a state of deep denial about what happened and what he needs to do in order to have a different outcome next time.

But that’s not all. Because of the format of the second debate, Trump stands to do even worse than he did in the first debate, and Clinton could do even better. It’s certainly possible that with a little more focus, Trump could avoid handing Clinton lines that she can use against him for the rest of the campaign, as he did when he not only admitted to paying no federal taxes but said proudly that it shows how smart he is. But the reason why the second debate a week from Sunday could go even worse for him is that it will be in a town hall format, which plays even more to Clinton’s strengths.

I dislike both of these duds. Trump however may benefit from the next debate's townhall format since he draws energy from the crowd much like Obama, Hitler and ll Duce.

Hillary doesn't perform well with unscripted questions.

I don't want to write Trump off because it's impossible to predict what might happen during the second presidential debate. Perhaps Trump might get lucky. Perhaps Clinton would have more opportunities to rile and goad Trump. Who knows? However, having lost the first debate, Trump now has more pressure to do well or better. Clinton surely will have pressure to do as well as, or better than, her first performance, but she already has a "win," so psychologically she has an advantage. We all know that performance pressure can be paralyzing, so I suppose everything will depend on who can handle the pressure better. If Trump doesn't do better than his last performance, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a partial or total collapse of Trump's candidacy.

I agree that Trump can look like a clone of WWII Italian Fascist dictator Mussolini in his poses & motions, and their policies are rather similar. People say Hitler, but no, Trump's the reincarnation of the strutting, puffed-up Italian megalomaniac.

And how are you defining an "unscripted question"? I thought Clinton did great during the first debate, and those questions from moderator Lester Hoit weren't scripted, if you mean revealed beforehand to the candidates. Neither of them knew what would be asked. In fact, Trump has now complained about them, an odd thing to say if he or Clinton were previously briefed on them.

Just more of the nonsensical, baseless drivel from the OP about Trump. If anyone is going to be massacred in the second debate, it is going to be the Wicked Witch of Wall Street, Hillary rotten Clinton. That crooked, power hungry, incompetent whore doesn't like town hall style meetings and debates because she will be stripped of her right to keep both the press and the general public a long distance away by roping them all off. You just keep living in your ultra leftist fantasyland bunk.

Trump was an embarrassing mess during the first debate, which is why he's now sinking in the polls. The more voters see of him, the more they are figuring out that he's completely unfit for the presidency.
And now he's in a public war with a former beauty queen, calling her fat and making up lies about a sex tape that doesn't exist.
    Trump is a total disgrace.
