Anything can happen but this is encouraging

Early voting results appear to give Hillary Clinton the advantage over Donald Trump as more Democrats are voting early and requesting absentee ballots than their Republican counterparts, The New York Times reported Tuesday.

Data from Florida, North Carolina, and other states that allow early voting shows Clinton pulling ahead even before Trump's lewd, recorded comments came to light.

In Florida, more Democrats are requesting absentee ballots than were doing so at this time in 2012, particularly Hispanic voters who are unhappy with Trump’s stance on immigration, the Times said. Democrats also are requesting more absentee ballots in North Carolina as Republican requests are declining.

According to the NYT, more than 40 percent of Americans are expected to have voted before Election Day in swing states, which may make the winner clear even before Election Day actually comes.

Thirteen states including Ohio are already voting, and 13 more will begin early voting before Oct. 24.

Democrats typically benefit from early and absentee voting because minority and younger voters may have more trouble getting to the polls on Election Day. The Clinton has been pushing early voting.

Although more Republicans typically show up on Election Day, a large enough early voting lead for Clinton could mean Trump would not be able to win even with heavy Election Day turnout, the NYT said.

The 2016 presidential election is expected to break records in voter turnout. The current record of 131 million voters was set in 2008, when Obama was first elected.

Donald Trump Knows He’s Already Lost – Pulls Ads In Crucial Swing States
    http://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/10/10/1580749/-Donald-Trump-Knows-He-s-Already-Lost-Pulls-Ads-In-Crucial-Swing-States

For the next month the Republican Party, the media, and the Trump campaign are going to engage in a charade. It's a farce that pretends the race for the White House is still winnable. It isn't, and they know it. And the final act of the electoral play isn't due to the devastating discovery of the now famous Trump Tapes. Although they certainly didn't help. And it isn't due to his creepy debate performance either.

The best evidence of the fact that this long nightmare is over was unveiled in a little noticed news item last week. It's significance was more profound than the attention it got would suggest. Not surprisingly, it was pushed from the headlines when more salacious news about Trump emerged. The report reveals the way Trump's campaign is handling its own media strategy for the remainder of the campaign:

"Just weeks before Election Day, the Trump campaign has cancelled ad reservations in markets in several crucial battleground states."

the states where Trump is pulling back are swing states where polls show that either candidate could prevail. What's more, they are states without which Trump cannot possibly build a path to a November victory. Here is a breakdown of the ad funding cancellations:

    Florida 741,000
    North Carolina 307,000
    Ohio 263,000
    Pennsylvania 179,000
    Iowa 165,000
    Maine 93,000
    New Hampshire 53,000
    Colorado 32,000

    Trump quote-

"I may be limping across that finish line, but we're going to get across," conceded Trump at a rally in Wilkes-Barre in the crunch state of Pennsylvania, for once conceding the scale of the fight before him.

He promised to make six campaign stops a day in the final week before the election, insisting there was still a path to victory and urging his core supporters to come out and vote on November 8

WestCoastJock saidI am sure many dead people are already voting for Hillary.

On the bright side, HillaryCare will include coverage for foreskin reconstruction surgery at a fancy clinic in Southbeach.
    Rumor has it.
