And yet you'd risk handing the Supreme Court and the future of Gay Rights over to the GOP.

LOL, France has the political system so many of you want: Socialism.

France also let in too many believers in Sharia Law.

Uneducated Fear Mongering Liberals: The Supreme Court doesn't reverse decisions made a previous Supreme Court because its "Settled Law". That's why abortion has never been overturned. Gay Marriage is now settled law.

The Supreme Court can certainly overturn previous decisions. For instance, in the late 1970s they decided being gay was a legitimate reason for barring a person from entering the United States - even as a tourist! Thankfully, that's no longer the law.

But they can't just wake up one day and decide to overturn same sex marriage. They'd have to hear a case that presented a compelling argument against it. Someone would have to bring suit in a lower court that would then have to be elevated all the way up the chain.

Such a case simply does not exist, because there is no compelling argument against same sex marriage. Just as there is no compelling argument to outlaw abortion.

    Stop scaring yourselves.

There are 2.2 million people in Paris, yet only 24,000 turned out to protest; that means almost 99% of the people stayed home. When put in perspective, France isn't backing away from marriage equality.

There's a Right Wing movement across the globe from Russia, to Germany to England to Australia.

The pendulum swings, and reactionaries respond.

Oh yes they do! I guess you never heard of Plessy v Ferguson? Racial segregation of public facilities was "Settled Law" and they reversed it.

Mes Amis, LOOK CLOSELY at the photo with this report on the march.
Do you see fans of Sharia Law or a bunch of older white folk?

This is the last whimper of the Catholic church.
