Reports indicate that a local Republican Party office in North Carolina was torched by a flammable device and someone spray-painted an anti-GOP slogan referring to "Nazi Republicans" on a nearby wall, authorities said Sunday. State GOP executive director Dallas Woodhouse said people sometimes work after-hours, and he felt lucky that no one was there at the time. He said the bottle appeared to have landed on or near the couch where volunteers sometimes take naps. "They are working around the clock. It is a miracle that nobody was killed," he said in an interview, calling the fire "political terrorism."

WELL, HOW CONVENIENT. I doubt Democrats or Hillary's supporters have anything to do with this. In my opinion, this incident is more in character with alt-right conservatives that take pleasure in bombing abortion clinics and Planned Parenthood centers. In my previous post, I expressed fear that Trump and/or his alt-right/Breitbart-loving supporters might engage in violent behavior to deflect attention from Trump, to create chaos and confusion, to depress voter turnout for Hillary, and/or to delegitimize the result of the presidential election. It looks like it has begun. Fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy ride (courtesy of desperately unhinged Trump and his supporters). In any event, this bombing---whether conducted by Republicans, Democrats, Independents, etc.--- should be condemned, and both state and federal law enforcement authorities MUST conduct a prompt investigation to ensure that the perpetrators are found and prosecuted. Notably, a fund to repair the GOP office has been established, courtesy of Democrats.

The apparent fire-bombing of a county GOP headquarters in North Carolina drew online responses from both presidential candidates on Sunday evening. GOP nominee Donald Trump tweeted that "animals" representing Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton had "firebombed our office in Orange County because we are winning." The party responded to Trump in a tweet, pledging not to be silenced or repressed.
