My team won, three to two. I haven't played all summer, so I was really rusty and messing up. Plus, I'm not setting all the time this year, only when I rotate in, so I need to work on my timing for hitting.
My team started off well with a 5-1 record, then a couple of newbies started playing with us and since then we are 4-2, 3-3, and 1-5. See a pattern here? Overall, we should have a pretty good team but we are just not clicking yet
My league is a rec league and it's gay and lesbian. We've got people in their mid-twenties to people in their mid-fifties. Each new season, the teams are assembled by the captains to try and be as balanced as possible for we have good matches.
It's not for everyone, we've had some really competitive guys and girls who haven't liked it, but it's really accessible. Plus, it's been going since 1980, so something must be right. ;)
Okay, tonight we lost 2 to 3. Our tie breaker game is a 10 minute to 15 points and we lost it by 4. Our captain has a bad knee and twisted it halfway through the match, but we pulled through.
I missed last nights action due to a retirement party out of town, just find out the team played well. Mmmm and I thought they needed me because I am like the third best player!
