Baltimore architecture

    I just watched the movie 'Hairspray' and Baltimore's architecture is simply amazing at the opening scene.

    Is it still like this now or are some of them demolished?

    Baltimore is know for its row homes, with marble stoops. Yes, much of that is still there (although I don't know the images you are looking at). They probably used Pimlico Middle for any school shots, and that is still there too.

    Hollywood magic.Tight shots. Heavy make overs..You should have seen how long they worked on Castro street in SF for "Milk" or Church street in SF for "Sister, Sister".

    I lived in Baltimore for a few years during college and I have to say that I didn't get the best impression.

    I know they are definitely working on it, but lots of areas are looking depressed.
