So I hate the fact that its not proper to try on underwear in the store, I get the whole hygiene thing, but I'm sick of buying underwear and it either looking like shit / being too big / or riding up on me. What do you guys do?

I stick with the same brand and style of underwear, decade after decade (CK white briefs).

I just remember that I wear a size 34 and I buy my underwear preferably Calvin Klein or 2xist. No rocket science involved. Just remember your size and you should have no problems.icon_smile.gif

I suppose you could wear a thong when you go shopping and try it on over that.

That´s technically underwear. I break the rule. Sorry I´m a bad person. But how on earth do they expect you to know otherwise. I´d not try a shirt on over another shirt.

well size 32 isnt always a perfect fit... the sizes go 28-30, 32-34, when did 30-32 become odd? So I either always end up with underwear too small or too big.

I know certain gay underwear stores sell underwear you can try on. Here in the castro. There is this one store you can try to underwear on first before you buy it. In macy's you can just walk in the dressing room with anything.

The thought of putting on underwear that everybody has had their junk in is, well, just nasty. Paxc, I think you're gonna have to learn by trial and error on this one ;-)

One dose of crab-lice from doing that may remove the urge to ever do it again.

Clothing mfrs screw with sizing all the time, ESPECIALLY UNDERWEAR. I have to try clothes on to be sure they fit, from the underwear on out.

Well, I think it is nasty if you try underwear on and put it back. I have tons of underwear that I just don't like, but I don't try it on first and I never return it. Would you want to wear my underwear? I thought not. So, I sure don't want to wear yours! icon_eek.gif

Well I never have, but I wear mostly the same kind of underwear.. Tommy athletic cut. If I'm getting a new pair, it would be nice.....but with most you can't.

Isn't it illegal to try on underwear in california? I know you can't return the shit... I would rather buy a 15 or $20 mistake than wear underwear anyone else has worn... ex-boyfriends undies excluded...

Raises an interesting point about clothing sizes and finding the right fit of affordable clothing in the USA, which, for me, is hit or miss. I have tremendous difficulty finding a tight fitting boxer short that functions properly without blouseyness or worse, pleats up front. S-M-L are meaningless lately.

Years ago my roommate's (stricon_cool.gif boxers ended up in my laundry by mistake. These were boxers that he had gotten at one of those trashy, random TSHIRTS FOR $5 stores in Hollywood. And they fit me well. He was hot so I didn't mind that they were worn first. 8 years later, I can't find a better fitting boxer, even though I'm constantly looking. So I still buy my boxers from that store in Hollywood.

And no, to the trying on of underwear before the purchase. I have never done that.

Yoahzer almost everywhere i've seen this Stud post up on is Totally fucking Hot!
To get back on to what this thread is about...umm I only buy European Cut Boxer Brief's when I do wear underwear and well only so few places I've found actually sell that type. I certainly wouldn't want to put on underwear another dude has had on...eww Well except for maybe a few guys icon_lol.gif

And ask around. I think there are PLENTY of underwear sites out there to help out and give advice. Ive gone up a size but depending on the brand, i can stick to the same size or move up. Some of my oldies but goodies at the bottom of my drawers are too damn tight around the thighs now. Guess I have to shop around for new ones!

LOL I agree, it's hard to find good fitting undies, or swimsuits. And the "sizes" are incredibly non-standardized now days. And being that I suffer from ghetto-booty-itus (in a good way icon_smile.gif ), it's really hard to find undies/swimsuits w/out trying them on first.

With undies, I usually buy one pair, wash them a few times, and if the fit is right I go back and get more.

"Oh hell no, that's just gross" It's very rare when I wear underware. But when I shop for them I go right to the 32 Calvins or 2xist. Only once did I ever think of trying a pair on in the store but they were a $100 pair of silk boxers. Didn't though just bought them. icon_biggrin.gif

Maybe shop around online first ? http://www.skiviez.com is a good men's underwear site where people will leave reviews for different brands . Weather its a good buy, sizing and whatnot.
