Are you a fan of The Secret? Or at least do you believe in that stuff? I think the ‘enlightenment’ finally found me in a surprisingly different manner. “The Secret” trademark failed to enlighten me as I’ve only seen the DVD... and it felt too commercial which fed my cynicism. But I'm so over it now.

Somehow over the Valentine's weekend, the book “Excuse Me, Your Life Is Waiting – The Astonishing Power Of Positive Feelings” by Lynn Grabhorn (RIP) found me instead. I’ve just started reading it last night (nursing my V’Day hangover) and boy, was it a page-turner as it has a practical examples from the author’s personal experiences which made it more “humanly” and relatable.

Yes, this endorsement is coming from a skeptic like you— though I’m pleased to inform you that that was just a phase we all have to go through to eventually get to the sheer fabulosity of it all!!! In a nutshell, allow me to share the four steps to deliberate creation guaranteed to bring into your life whatever is your passion and much, much more!!! They are guaranteed because they are universal law:

Step 1. Identify what you DON’T want.

Step 2. From that, identify what you DO want.

Step 3. Get into the feeling place of what you want.

Step 4. Expect, listen, and allow it to happen.

Do not be surprised if this is the message you need to see right now. This is NOT a coincidence!!! Oh my, it has been so long I’ve been so fired up like this!!! We have been practicing this at some joyful points in our lives and now it’s time to manipulate our feelings into turning everything that’s negative into being positive. Taking from Eckhart Tolle’s “The Power Of Now” book: “Be Your Own Buddha” which ought to be the case. Dahlings, it’s a great time to be alive!!! I’ve never been this excited to wake up in a very long time!!! I’m just all so fired up for the things in store for me and for you!!!

I totally feel I am now an enhanced version of myself. To all those who are new to this and to those who may have already been exposed and knowledgeable on the subject and already got things going for them: FEEEEEEEEEEEEL MY POSITIVE VIBES MULTIPLY BY THE THOUSANDS!!!

Oh and mentioning The Enlightenment in the same paragraph as "The Secret" just made me die a little inside.

enlightenment is accepting that opposites are both necessary and balanced- always; its accepting that there are no real differences and that all is one; pain and pleasure, good and bad, light and dark- its all god. the enlightened individual is no longer enslaved to the egoic chase after pleasure and retreat from pain in life; he does not champion goodness and light over darkness and misfortune, realizing that you can never have one without the other. every wonderful and pleasant moment in our lives is balanced by its opposite in the sum total of things, and no one can pin circumstance in the pleasant upswing of that pendulum. positive feelings, vibrations, whatever.... will not lock your life into a blissful unfolding of fortuitous events. while its true that mind has power over matter and that we formulate our own realities, as is the fact that like attracts like (as the old magical adage goes).... i really think its a mark of spiritual immaturity to seek after pleasure and goodness alone and call it enlightenment. enlightenment is simply the realization that you are not the pendulous weight swinging between the positive and the negative, eternally and unstoppably; shift your sense of selfhood up the string to the fulcrum and root yourself in the source and cause of things- transcend all opposites- THEN you'll be enlightened.

that said, sending positive energy to people always beats the alternative, and due to cause/effect laws in place, what you send out usually finds its way back- i think we'd all agree that those who give the most, usually have the richest lives; while those who only take from the world... never have enough. so don't stop wishing others well- it'll come back to you.

just don't call it enlightenment, please.

From personal experience, if we're on the theme of advice and good vibes, if your life revolves around making yourself happy, that happiness is transient, if you start looking at making others happy, then you'll end up being too, and it'll last longer icon_smile.gif

it seems to work well, so in other words, good vibes for all icon_biggrin.gif

Oh…okay. So you think this has nothing to do with you. You go to your closet and you select –I don’t know—that lumpy blue sweater for instance, because you’re trying to tell the world that you take yourself too seriously to care about what you put on your back. But what you don’t know is that that sweater is just not blue. It is not turquoise. It’s not lapis. It’s actually cerulean.

And you’re also blithely unaware of the fact that in 2002, Oscar de la Renta did a collection of cerulean gowns. And then I think it was Yves Saint Laurent, wasn’t it —who showed cerulean military jackets… I think we need a jacket here… And then cerulean quickly showed in the collections of 8 different designers. And then it filtered down through the department stores and then trickled down into some tragic Casual Corner where you no doubt fished it out of some clearance bin.

However that blue represents millions of dollars and countless jobs and it’s sort of comical how you think that you’ve made a choice that exempts you from the fashion industry when in fact, you’re wearing a sweater that was selected for you by the people in this room… from a pile of stuff.

I believe it's not the loss of Zimmy's mind but the loss of someone else's sense of humor that is causing your annoyance.

Actually, no. I wanted to quote part of what you said and write something about it but not the entire post. Once I found the video and posted it I guess I forgot what I was going to initially say which had to do with this:
Do not be surprised if this is the message you need to see right now. This is NOT a coincidence!!!
I'm sure it would have been very poetic with a lot of symbolism and meaning. It would have changed the world or at least the RealJock community as we know it. Not only would it have received praise but your initial post as well since without it would not have been realized. The world would finally have found peace and every living soul would get along and be happy. We would be viewed as prophets ushering in a new found era of mankind. I guess in the strange scheme of things it may still not be a coincidence...
