    Yep..its great to feel like you are accepted and liked....admired etc. Most of us have a social network of friends and organizations where people know us and we have a sense of belonging.

    But I've been totally turned off by certain members here on RJ who feel they have the right to pose as the moderators and "president" of the club.

    And then there are the grinning idiots who act like sheep who follow along with the same attitude.

    I've had great experiences with other RJ members and received great advice and some good laughs.

    But some guys on here are just boring with their bavado and self important words and their need for validation from other RJ members.

    I look forward to interacting with more RJ members who are smart enough to have something else to offer besides nonsense.........who discuss issues and feelings related to everyone, rather than blabbering about personalities.

    Welcome to the internet. It's like this on almost all other forums out there.

    The best thing to do is ignore the annoying ones. They feed off the attention. Sadly most people don't have the patience to deal with such annoying people, and they end up leaving the forums completely. icon_neutral.gif

    Well it's called "highschool mindset". You have the typical posers who think their shite don't stink and then you have their cronies who are blatantly won over by the posers' shirtless pictures and "big butch top" attitude who follow them eating it. But it's normal I guess as humans are biologically wired to be a "herd" animal. Unfortunately some "herds" need to be led off a cliff.

    I just don't let it bother me. I stopped caring if I was accepted or not a long time ago.

    Yes .. everyone needs to belong, but in some cases it is good to "not belong" .. I like this verse from an interpretation of the Tao Te Ching

    Tao Te Ching 20Don't spend too much time
    thinking about stupid shit.
    Why should you care
    if people agree or disagree with you?
    Why should you care
    if others find you attractive or not?
    Why should you care
    about things that worry others?
    Call bullshit on all that.

    Let other people
    get worked up
    and try to enjoy themselves.
    I'm not going to give myself away.
    A baby doesn't know how to smile,
    but it's still happy.

    Let other people
    get excited about stuff.
    I'm not going to hang on to anything.
    I'm not going to fill my mind with ideas.
    I'm not going to get stuck in a rut,
    tied down to any one place.

    Other people are clever;
    I guess I must be stupid.
    Other people have goals;
    I guess I must be aimless.
    Like the wind. Or the waves.

    I'm not like other people.
    I'm getting right with Tao.
