Lol, right? Although it looks like the study they're discussing was more about extreme cardio as opposed to intense lifting. One thing that makes me wonder if the study has a point is that I've been with some CrossFit guys who surprised me by tiring really easy in the sack and blaming their workouts -- although admittedly, that may have been because I like doing lots of rough physical stuff in bed, not because they weren't horny.

Agreed, surely the increased testosterone from lifting would mean the opposite of what this article is suggesting?!

You guys didn't read the article very carefully. The author makes it clear that moderate to light exercise increases libido and testosterone . The study looked a triathletes and marathoners as examples of prolonged strenuous exercise. Weight lifting can not be considered prolonged strenuous exercise as the body needs time to recover and build muscle. You rest between sets. It would be interesting to study cross-fit. The article does not clarify what constitutes "strenuous" versus moderate. You would have to read the original study to understand that.

There are unrelated factors they admit the study did not consider. If you feel better because you are exercising then presumably you would feel more sexual. I know that after an intense day in the surf I always feel more sexual than a lazy day around the house.

I didn't read the article. Was age taken into consideration in this study? Considnering that this site is very inclusive .... more so I think that many others, the "read" of this study may be for a different audience. FYI 67 yrs. old here.
