I don't believe some of those stats (42% seems high and 65% of blacks have HPV compared to 44% of whites? Really?) but they should increase the age for vaccine coverage. People can benefit from the HPV vaccine at any age.

Well you have to understand that even condoms don't protect from HPV, if anyone has a wart down there and it touches your sexual organs then you've got it, also you can develop warts without realising it and then pass them on and it's too late.....the reason why dark skin folk have a higher percentage of infection is because the vaccine is not as effective on black women....

HPV is really easily spread getting the vaccine is the best chance you have of prevention....The doctors or health clinics don't really educate people effectively enough on how easily it is spread. It's like herpes because once you've got the virus you have it forever, it comes and goes you may be able to clear them by going to the doctor and you won't be infectious while it's in remission but you can have a flare up when your immune system is low and they can come back that way, you need to know what's growing on your parts at all times to prevent infection.

I guess the numbers are really that high. That's why vacination is so important. Just because you don't have any warts or any other visible signs or symptoms doesn't mean you don't have it. Many times people don't have any visible signs or symptoms. It's good to get an STD check up at least once a year and an hiv test at least once every 3 months.
