I've heard from several sources that the most frequent gym injury is shoulder socket issues resulting from poor form/high weight on the flat bench press. They recommend you pull your shoulder blades back as much as you can while lifting. So I've been doing that. This time, however, I pulled the lat muscle on one side just under the shoulder blade. Hard to stretch that muscle out so heat and vibration and pills and aspirin. Anyone hear of this happening? Is the shoulder blade thing a thing?
