Security for the Turkish president could be seen on video Tuesday attacking protesters outside the DC home of the Turkish ambassador.

The brawl erupted when Turkish President Recep Erdogan’s security detail encountered demonstrators carrying the flag of the Kurdish PYD party outside the residence, the Guardian reported

Video shows men in suits, believed to be Erdogan’s bodyguards, pummeling the protesters and kicking some in the head as DC police try to stop them.

Doug Buchanan, a DC Fire and EMS spokesman, says two of those hurt were seriously injured and were taken to hospitals by ambulance.

He said by phone that emergency personnel were called to the residence about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Dustin Sternbeck said two people were arrested, including one who was charged with assaulting a police officer.

The altercation came the same day that Erdogan met with President Donald Trump at the White House

Video: Erdogan watches security guards beat protesters in Washington
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/video-erdogan-watches-security-guards-beat-protestors-washington-163120481.html

After a clash with Turkish security officials left nine protesters hospitalized Tuesday, new footage surfaced showing Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan looking on stoically as members of his security detail beat civilians.

Erdogan traveled to Washington this week to meet with President Trump. After their White House summit, Erdogan stopped at the Turkish ambassador’s residence, where protesters had gathered. As the protesters and security officials clashed, Erdogan is seen stepping out of his car and watching the fighting for a few moments before turning and walking calmly into the residence.

Two members of Erdogan’s security detail were detained after the scuffle but were released and allowed to return to Turkey because they hold diplomatic status, the New York Times reported.

The White House has not publicly commented on the violence at the ambassador’s residence, but lawmakers have roundly criticized the Turkish security officials’ use of force. Senators John McCain, R-Ariz., and Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., co-authored a letter to Erdogan condemning “your staff’s blatant violation” of freedom of the press and freedom of assembly.

Another disastrous Trump miscalculation. He invites a murderous thug into the White House, someone no other President would ever let step foot into the US except within the diplomatic confines of the UN in New York City, and this is the result. A black eye on the White House. But as my Mother used to say. "birds of a feather flock together".

Erdogan was watching the whole thing happen...
Im so happy that happened actually so people can see what kind of a "leader" Erdogan is. I don't even think Trump has addressed the incident ..
Putin is just as horrible.. He has poisoned quite a few journalists that don't like him and when i mean poison i mean like literally poisoned them.
Hell one woman was shot and killed for printing "propaganda".
As for Erdogan his own people tried to kill him last year. Many "traitors" have left to other countries in exile and Erdogan wants them extradited to pay for their crimes. In other words he wants them dead.
8 turkish soldiers are being held here and they don't want to go back becsuse they will be killed. So ofcourse Erdogan threatens us and provokes us every day with his ships in the aegean and his fighter jets flying over our air space. He is disgusting. So im glad that happened right outside the white house so people can see what kind of a person he is.
