I'm just curious how other RealJock guys respond to this... Could you date a felon? Lets say, someone who served time for embezzlement. Or would that be a deal breaker for you?

What kind of felon ... do you mean like stock fraud, or like obstruction of justice

I'm trying to be vague but I guess I should be specific... haha.

Embezzling money from the company you work for.

Pretty close to a deal breaker for most the felonies. Some laws I don't believe in I.e insider trading.

Is this a hypothetical? If not, I have to ask why the opinions of others who don't know him would be a deciding factor.

It's just a date. You're not marrying him.

Point well taken, but then it begs a follow-up. What did the Op mean? casual date/hookup or relationship?

I'm talking about seriously dating a guy long term. Few months in he tells you he has a criminal past. 2 plus years in you find out the whole story, and its much worse then he let on. icon_biggrin.gif

-RUN as far and as fast as you can in the other direction. Delete his #, block his profile, change the locks. Obviously no lessons were learned with that felony conviction and assumed time served. what other things is he hiding from you? who's body is in the trunk?

If he turns his life around, felt remorseful and want to stay in a good straight path, sure date him and see where it goes.
    I think everyone deserves a 2nd chance.
