Our team took a "loss of timeout" penalty for refusing to wear white uniforms in their bowl game this year. They thought it was worth it.

I detect a definite lack of serious intent in answering this question.

Yeah, I don't understand the question either.
Besides, for my sport there wasn't much of a uniform... but even so, it was solid navy blue.

Ah, let's see. Is there any detrimental effect to a team if it is wearing a black uniform or a white uniform?

My N.O. Saints traditionally wear black jerseys with gold pants. Then they will sometimes go to black pants. Hate it. They look like spiders at that point with black and black. But the white jerseys are cool with the black or gold pants. White!!!

My and thighs look pretty good in my white football pants.

I think they should wear whatever color they want. If they think that wearing either black or white is detrimental then change the colors colors to off white and navy. Problem solved.

    Seems pretty simple to me.

    The Answer: White

In research, trained referees were shown videos of football teams engaged in aggressive play. The referees rated the aggressive play by the teams dressed in black as more worthy of a penalty, than aggressive play by teams dressed in white.

This has been verified statistically by records from the NFL and NHL. Teams that wore black uniforms have been penalized significantly more than average.

This was also shown for the Pittsburgh Penguins and Vancouver Canucks when they switched to black uniforms. Their penalties went up.

In my sport of rowing, white uniforms are very bad. You can completely see through them. Considering the chaffing issue, you never wear anything underneath the uni...so white would be bad. Or good, depending on who's wearing it.
