How do you spend the 72 hours before Gargantuan hits? What things do you take with you if you leave?

Leave.... All memories- videos, pics, audio are in the cloud.

Everything else of value is already in a bank deposit box or goes in the back pack.

    Insurance handles the rest.

Of course this all assumes I would choose to live in a hurricane prone area in the first place.

Leave with pets, if you've any.

If I was by myself, I'm riding it out...on top of the roof if need be.

But since I'm not, of course, I would take all my dogs and cats, and the ashes of those that have passed stuffed in my backpack. Then I will fit in the backpack the two altar photos of my grandparents, my school computer (the old game computer can go away) and all the USBs, my tablet, wallet, of course car keys, one pair of swimsuits...and that's really it, and hopefully, my family can help to carry a few of the animals.

Well, I actually would take all my diplomas and important papers and stuffed them all in the computer bag with the computer. Then everything else can go into the backpack. Everything else can be replaced.

But if I know a storm that big is coming, I'm stuffing my car, and everybody else in the family would too, and we all will head to the mountains.

buy flood insurance...unlike 85% of houston...who are no SOL.

with 72 hours, i could put everything on the top floor of the house.

I would take the computers, photos, expensive art, etc. I live high and inland, so not really much call for this.
