Robinson coached nearly 60 years at Grambling - From 1941 to 1997. He won over 400 games and made the small black college in Louisiana a hotbed for NFL recruits. He sent over 200 players to THE LEAGUE in his tenure, including such stars as Willie Davis, Paul "Tank" Younger, Sammy White, Charlie Joiner and Super Bowl MVP Doug Williams.

Life offers few trail blazers, but Robinson was definitely one of them. He understood his role as a college football coach was as much mentor as teacher and he molded generations of young boys into fine men.

He will be missed.
