Hasn't the dotard heard of the First Amendment?

Donald Trump has threatened to shut down NBC and other American networks, saying that they peddle fake news.

"With all of the Fake News coming out of NBC and the Networks, at what point is it appropriate to challenge their License? Bad for country!" Mr Trump wrote in a tweet.

Mr Trump's tweet came in response to a story written by NBC, which said that Mr Trump had sought to increase America's nuclear arsenal tenfold after taking a look at a briefing slide that showed steady reduction of the US nuclear arsenal since the 1960s. The story cited three officials who were reportedly in the room when Mr Trump made the comments.

The President has regularly targeted news networks critical of him since January, when he gave a press conference as President-elect and shouted down a CNN reporter as "fake news".

And what can you tell us about the First Amendment, oh wise one in the ways of the US Constitution?

Not to mention that the networks themselves don't have licenses, for Trump or anyone else to pull. What a dotard that Donnie is. Only local stations have FCC broadcast licenses. There are only 7 "Owned & Operated" TV stations (O & Os) for each of the major networks, individually licensed for their assigned geographical broadcast area.

The rest are independent affiliates that are licensed to carry network programming, including news. Cable & satellite services are areas not originally covered by the Federal Communications Act, and their regulation is still somewhat unclear.

BTW, one of my degrees is in TV & radio broadcasting, and I've been a radio DJ. My adventures with CBS News and CBS, Inc. could fill pages.

Trump's threats are the true sign of a megalomaniacal dictator. We only see these tactics coming from totalitarian Fascist and Communist states, and chaotic Third World countries. What a fine road your glorious Trump is leading us down.

FCC can't really shut down a network. It can shut down a TV station- with valid cause.

Network owned TV stations are few.

Apparently you were high or asleep during your FCC Regs training. If the FCC pulls the O&O license for a network, the network cannot redistribute its content to the other broadcast affiliates. The affiliates could only broadcast their own local programming.

Current restrictions on Free Speech prevent people from calling us "Fags" or African Americans the "N" word as well as obscene content on broadcast TV news. So you Liberals want that eliminated?

As usual with you, you're simply lying. Difficult to debate with a serial liar. But then your purpose here is to disrupt, confuse and demoralize gay members. Understood, Komrad.
