You need to post your goals, and what you look like. I assume you're trying to get your weight up? You look pretty mesomorphic from the picture that's there. 3500 will make you bigger.

Any weight gainer drink is gonna' pack some calories. Even just adding a couple of those will get you over the hump.

When I'm trying to pack it on, I'll drink Serious Mass two, or even three, times a day. It's 1250 kcal per serving.

Also, you can eat peanut butter. Yummy and loaded with good fat.

5'8' and 200", you're gonna' be built. Just keep shoveling it in.

3500 calories a week total will kill you as that is anorexia. 3500 calories a day will make you gain weight

    I am way confused...

I thought for basic human functioning you need around 2000 calories a day, and your trainer said you need 3500 a week?

Am I confusing calories and Calories or something? This seems REALLY, REALLY off to me.

I'm guessing she ment a day not a week. I can easily take in 3500 in a day. I must be a pig if she only wanted that for you a day lol.

Yeah, you definitely need to recheck with this personal trainer.

    Only 500 calories a day???

Maybe she meant 500 calories a day from a particular source (i.e.- calories from fat).

you numpty you misheard he either said an additional 3500 a week or to get 3500 a day for that week. icon_lol.gif

Id question his rationale tho as you say you want to get your weight down and build muscle, a hard task in itself, however and assuming before you may have been eating say 3000 which created the excess weight you wish to lose then how is increasing calories going to combat the fat loss element??? Simple answer it wont.

You certainly were not eating 4000 calories before or you would be a blimp.

He definitely wouldnt have said 3500 a week or you would not have the ability to work out properly and would lose any muscle mass you have as the body strived to maintain basic function and your metabolism would gring to a halt.

its an easy mistake to make at first so dont think Im taking the pee Im just pulling your leg but you need to go back and clarify your understanding. If he did say 3500 a week then you need to tell him he hasnt a clue what he is talking about and get a decent trainer, but I dont think I have come cross one that stupid yet, close but not quite icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif
