The last time I ate those was when I was a kid. I remember liking the Thin Mints. However, I have stayed away from sweets, baked goods and refined sugar since my late teens.

    Uggh never!!!

I didn't have a sweet tooth even as a kid, and I always found Girl Scout cookies to be the most repugnant of all.

I do feel bad for the poor little Girl Scouts who are forced to stand at the door of the supermarket and sell cookies. They always give me the strangest looks when I say, "No thanks, I don't eat cookies." I think the concept breaks their tiny little brains.

Home made Anzac Biscuits being a favourite of mine.

I'm all about the thin mints. icon_smile.gif

...Although... I don't think Girl Scout cookies are THAT good, and they're pricey. Would rather spend my money on a different junk food. However, if one of my coworkers comes up to me telling me that their daughter is selling them, I usually buy a box or two.

Used to like them years ago - I'll admit to having a sweet tooth. I avoid sugary things today (except for the occasional really fine pastry)
But the last time I looked at the ingredients of girl scout cookies, they were really unhealthy. They were still using hydrolyzed vegetable oil, after it was well known that trans-fats were essentially poison. I pity the girls that have to sell that crap. And most of the money goes to their national organization. At least now they have the opportunity to join the boy scouts if they want to.

Tried some for the first time ever.

The Samoas were a standout but I’ve yet to try the s’mores.

I don’t eat the whole box, I try one cookie per day, only two of any kind.

My mom says I’m the only person she ever met who can eat one Lays potato chip.

    How’s that for restraint?

A couple of little girls with their mom stopped by my office this afternoon to ask me to buy Girl Scout cookies. I asked if I could just make a donation and skip the cookies. They said that they have a program where I could buy the cookies but have the cookies donated to the families of the locally based Air National Guard 148th Fighter Wing. So I said okay, though I hope I'm not doing harm to the troops rather than supporting them...

    UPDATE:

    Tried the s’mores.

    HUGELY disappointed.

I was expecting graham cracker, billowy marshmallow and dark melted chocolate.

What I got was a butter cookie or animal cracker spread thinly with marshmallow flavoring and...Nutella?

S’MORES POP TARTS are way better.

Girl Scout Samoa’s, however, are definitely worth cheating on your diet for.
