break from training

    I was wondering what other peopleĀ“s practice on scheduled breaks from training was. I have decided to have this week off as I have been fighting something for a few days and also have just flown back home and have tonnes of things to do after 2 months away. I was kinda needing a break anyway as I was staying sore too long and feeling a bit too tired.

    How often and how much time to you take off?

    Sometimes I take a week off from the gym, and focus on running. Or I just take a break from both. But never more than a week. Anything longer, then it's harder for me to get back into the groove. icon_lol.gif

    I allow myself one day off/week.

    After a marathon, I'll take five days off, that's it.
