The fastest-growing group of immigrant arrests under Trump , as of September 2017, was made up of people who were facing no criminal charges. ICE arrested more than 28,000 “non-criminal immigration violators” in the first seven months of Trump’s term, a nearly threefold increase over the same period in 2016 under the Obama administration, as The Washington Post’s Nick Miroff has reported.

Good news. Hopefully the school who employed him is penalized for hiring an illegal. The anchor baby law needs to be changed.

This professor should be thankful to the USA for allowing him to stay here 30 years illegally.

Your a fucking idiot, and if you actually read the article in its entirety it says very clearly that he came into the United States legally and has been in the U.S. legally under multiple student visas and then an H1-B visa for highly skilled workers that have expired. He has been in the United States legally for most of his 30 years and this guy probably has more formal education and marketable skills than you will ever have in your entire life.

Apparently you have never known anyone who has tried to come into this country LEGALLY. USCIS law specifically states that you must leave the country on or before the date your visa expires. That is known by everyone who obtains a visa.

In addition, if you are here legally and you want to extend your visa, you must LEAVE THE USA and apply for a new visa in your home country.

Is it a ridiculous system? Yes.

Has this law been on the books for decades? Yes.

Did Obama and the Democrat Congress in 2009-10 do anything to change the law? No.

Have millions of people abided by the law at great cost and inconvenience? Yes.

The USA kept its end of the bargain. It didn't deport him while he was here legally. Conversely, the USA expects people here on visas to keep up their end of the deal. This guy did not.

I've known plenty of people who have come into this country legally. Including both of my parents. Im saying your an idiot because your last post says that he was lucky we let him stay here for 30 years illegally and the article clearly states he had a visa during the majority of his stay which means he was legally allowed to be here for most of that 30 years. Despite what you think you're not smart because you understand how our immagration system works. Any idiot with access to the internet or news should now how the system works.

What I am saying is your a dumbass if you think he was here illegally for 30 years when he had a visa for most of that time. He was only here illegally for the last part of his stay in our country. Understand the facts before you post ignorant shit online and if you criticize an article read it fully!

It is a waste of energy trying to intelligently discuss an issue with a Trumpster.
