    He's correct, of course. The human brain is the most powerful pattern recognition processor on the planet. It's hard wired to recognize patterns... even when there isn't really a pattern there at all. In the primordial world of dog-eat-dog and sabretooth-eat-human, seeing patterns that aren't really there is simply erring on the side of caution. Mwolverine, I'd say you're correct about superstition but maybe to a lesser extent about religion, which more commonly arises from brainwashing by your parents from a young age, but is probably supported by the same false pattern recognition throughout your life.

    But if the guy in the video is looking for a future as an online personality, I'd say he needs to invest in an image consultant. Even if the haircut, glasses, and plaid shirt are intended to be "ironic"... they ain't making it.
