Hey guys! So I’ve always been skinny and never had any luck gaining muscle. I don’t need to have a six pack (although I wouldn’t mind one lol) but really I just wanna tone up a little and gain some muscle in my upper body. Do you guys have any tips? I’m vegan so my diet is pretty healthy and I get plenty of fruits and veggies. I’m a dancer so I workout regularly my legs are the only part of my body that are ripped lol the bright side of dancing for so many years I suppose.

Everything is possible if you really want ;) I was 49 kg / 108 lbs almost 8 months ago. I recommend starting with Personal trainer ( Thats what i did, And also get a meal plan and follow it) And you'll start learning from there. First 2 weeks i already saw progress and 4th month was quite huge change for me.
But i'm literally like a robot. I don't Smoke/Drink/eat fast food. - I do drink coke once a month maybe. But even when i go out to bars i drink water. So it might be quite booring but worth it.
edit: I drink protein shake 3 times a day.

The pictures definitely have me feeling motivated! I thought about doing CrossFit as well. I hear it’s a great workout and the people I see doing all have great bodies. I’ll look into getting a personal trainer first and go from there. Thanks for the advice!

fruits and vegetables do not build muscle. protein does and vegan diets are notorious for incomplete proteins. weight training is the other missing ingredient.

Pretty sure protein shakes aren’t vegan unfortunately. I think you might be able to take protein pills since those are synthetic. Tho I’ve never understood the logic behind being vegan and doing that. Chemical plants are way worse for the planet than agriculture.

Actually, a lot of vegetables are high in protein. I’ve consumed more protein being vegan than when I wasn’t. You don’t need meat to build muscle, there are plenty of buff vegan guys out there

I used to be super skinny (52kg!). Eventually I gained +20kgs, but it took years. Just be patient, train, eat and sleep well. Don't rush!
Don't use gainer drinks unless you have no choice. It's better to eat a regular meal.
Also think of your daily activity, so If you are a dancer then include this in your diet to maintain a calorie surplus state. I'm not sure about this vegan stuff, but ask a nutritionist for advice, I bet he will find a way. Or quit being vegan icon_razz.gif

It’s not horse shit, do your research. Thaaaank you!! You don’t have to agree with me. I could care less. We’re getting off topic of why I posted here in the first place. Let’s stick to the topic.

I’ve been vegan for almost a year now and have noticed a lot of health changes (for the better) so I don’t plan on quitting lol but thank you for your input! I shall ask a nutritionist about what else I can do as far as food goes. Thanks again icon_smile.gif
