Kansas - Not much different from Mississippi in many respects.

As my dad, who lives in Kansas, would say, "He did get something! He got out of jail!"

Are you defending that Kansas refused to recompense him for a false conviction, that cost him 23 years of his life?

Anyone wrongfully imprisoned for that long should be set for life after.

Good, and all is well. Which is why I asked the question first, since the meaning of your father's quote wasn't clear to me. Thanks! icon_biggrin.gif

Kolonel Kuko can’t help himself. You’d think it was he who unjustly went to prison for 23 years, and perhaps in that mind of his, he truly feels horribly wronged by reading an opinion he didn’t understand.

But his second post gave it all away. Ah yes, grandstanding and virtue signaling. Should have known. Old Deco never changes his spots, does he? Get him some ice. His arm must be sore from all that patting himself on the back.

Kansas didn't refuse to pay him. Kansas has no legislation to give him payment. If you want it changed, use your Republican Tax Cuts to get legislation passed.

It's a shame. Part of the reason I got involved in the innocence project.
