So I don't really know where this should go, but General Fitness looked like a good place to start.

A while ago I was introduced to some exercises called The Five Tibetan Rites of Rejuvenation (or just The Five Tibetans). Supposedly these are gentle exercises (guessing they might be similar to yoga things, but never having tried I don't know) that move your body weight through muscles and joints that don't usually support much weight, thereby strengthening parts of the body usually left unused.

The physical benefits are well documented, and for the spiritual among you they are for unblocking the seven key chakra points to allow all that energy of the universe to flow (and shit like that).

That is a pretty good website I found for learning the movements, it has pictures! It also has warm-up exercises and alternative exercises if you cannot manage the main ones.

Just to add my personal experience to the mix...I had a ganglion in my left wrist (a swollen capsule filled with a synovial-like fluid). Mine wasn't as bad as some. They can sometimes cause severe pain and restrict movement. Mine only hurt when I put too much strain on my wrist *ahem*. Anyway, doing these exercises made it go away after about five days. I have to keep doing them, or it can come back. But it is a damn sight better than an operation to remove it, or an anabolic steroid injection to break it down (both of which may not work permanently on the thing).

Just thought I'd share the wealth...
