    I'll be traveling to San Diego early Sunday morning on a last minute business trip (Monday/Tuesday)

    Never been to California...and I added a little extra time to do some site seeing of the town...Any advice on the 'must sees' while I'm in town.

    I'll be renting a car so I'll probably do a lot of driving around and play it mostly by ear, but I'd appreciate any recommendations!

    Thanks!

    I'm actually going to be in San Diego too from Sunday to Thursday. I'm staying in the Gaslamp area and was told it's a really nice place. My coworker says there's some nice places to go surfing too, so that might be a good thing to try.

    Must sees;

    La Jolla is great.
    Gaslamp
    Hillcrest of course, gotta see the gay area right?

    And they are having the air show in mira mar today and tomorrow.

    And last but not least Balboa Park. It's our crap version of Central Park, but I still love it. Check out the oak tree in fron of the Natural History Museum.

    Have a great time!

    Welcome to San Diego! My parents first brought me here to see the San Diego Zoo in the 1960s, and now it is my home. Some of the things I like best about it are the Zoo (and the Wild Animal Park up in north San Diego County), Balboa Park (an absolutely GREAT park with green areas, sport areas, museums and gardens), the Ocean Beach and Hillcrest neighborhoods, and Mission Trails Regional Park.

    On Sunday my partner and I are going up to the Wild Animal Park. See you there?

    I would like to say San Diego is a fantastic city. I totally had a great time. I checked out La Jolla and stayed in the Gaslamp area. I didn't get a chance to check out Hillcrest, but I went hiking in Torrey Pines. Surfing in Coronado was amazing too.

    I love San Diego!
