    online friends??

Are you a collector of friends/buddies/stalkers online? Do you talk with everyone of them or do you have a tendancy to get so many that it becomes a job to keep in touch with them all?

I ask this because of a conversation my co-worker and I had today about how she feels so outa touch with many of her facebook and myspace friends. I asked her how many of them she felt this about, sah said "um, well I have about 300 people on both friends lists".

For a minute, all I could do is stare at her and laugh.

Personally, on my myspace, everyone that is on my friends list I keep in touch with either online or in person since I know most of them from around my area. I try to send people on my buddy list here a message every few weeks if I havent heard from them.

So how about the rest of ya. Do you have a overly large friends/buddy list, and if so, do you try to actually keep in touch with everyone on there? Or do you eventually (not purposely) start to forget about many of them just because of the bulk?

When I'm not doing events on site I do spend alot of time online.
IT's a way for people to find me and me find them. I don't think I collect them but I keep tabs on them. ON any one day I will be signed in to AIM, Yahoo. usually on my mobile, Manhunt, RJ, Facebook.
Myspace is a bitch to navigate because of so many custom pages I just don't care.

Facebook/Myspace is almost a business tool for me. I work in Theatre, and work in many different areas of the country sometimes. By "friending" people on facebook/myspace, it allows me to keep in touch with them better than I would have been able to. I may not keep in contact with them on regular basis, but I at least try to send a happy birthday message once a year. I want to try to at least stay on the peripheral of people I have worked with's memories, because who knows who may have a job oppertunity for me in the future.

I know someone on facebook with almost 2,000 friends. icon_eek.gif

I have 500, and I legitimately know almost all of them, either from university or high school.

the novelty of FB wore off pretty quickly, I closed my account b/c in reality if I want to talk to someone I will, and I spend too much time online in other ways RJ included!

Yes. I stuff them with sawdust and mount them above the fireplace.
