    comfortable silences, hot physicality, laughter, tenderness, lighting up when each other enters the room or number pops up on your mobile, each of you thinking that you have won the other.....

    Love is a commitment to understanding; the faith of another persons loyalty, companionship and trust, the communication of emotions and feelings, and most importantly a bond made between two people that cannot be broken even as a relationship falls apart.

    When in love, remember this:

    Let go when you're hurting too much. Give up when love
    Isn't enough, and move on when things are not like before
    For sure, there is someone out there
    Who will love you even more

    love is something we tell youth to believe in. its like magic. its not real but those foolish enough to believe in it destroy themselves. "love" is nothing more than a combination of chemicals and hormones reacting at specific times to non specific people.

    Love: placing someone above all others, feeling a mixture of elation, hope, commitment, devotion, and completely opening yourself to the one you're in love with.

    Love is the desire to keep a relationship going. When there is a magical attraction between you and the other, love is easier.

    But some loves have very little of this magic, because relationships also develop because of circumstances, needs, timing. These get carried along through commitment, values, good relationship skills and eventually habit. Yet, these are still loving relationships, because the desire to keep them going is present.

    Love: the sure and certain knowledge that the other persons well being and happiness is more important to you than you own, and that you would willingly sacrifice you own, for them, without expectation of it being reciprocated - and maybe even with the sure knowledge that they don't.

    I think love is a feeling of unity with another person that has no reason or explanation and it is not the same as physical or emotional attraction or attachment which is subject to change depending upon those physical or emotional conditions.

    I don't think I have unconditionally loved anyone. Even my parents...I love them because they are my parents - it arises due to a biological link or some physical or emotional nearness to them.

    Love is trusting someone to accept you for who you are. Love is physics in action. Love is when you wrap your arms around someone, and wish you never had to let go. Love is a moment in time shared with another being that will be saved in your heart forever - an added element to a collection of what makes life worth living.

    Give All to Love

    by Ralph Waldo Emerson

    Give all to love;
    Obey thy heart;
    Friends, kindred, days,
    Estate, good-fame,
    Plans, credit, and the Muse,
    Nothing refuse.

    'Tis a brave master;
    Let it have scope:
    Follow it utterly,
    Hope beyond hope:
    High and more high
    It dives into noon,
    With wing unspent,
    Untold intent;
    But it is a God,
    Knows its own path
    And the outlets of the sky.

    It was never for the mean;
    It requireth courage stout.
    Souls above doubt,
    Valor unbending,
    It will reward,
    They shall return
    More than they were,
    And ever ascending.

    Leave all for love;
    Yet, hear me, yet,
    One word more thy heart behoved,
    One pulse more of firm endeavor,
    Keep thee to-day,
    To-morrow, forever,
    Free as an Arab
    Of thy beloved.

    Cling with life to the maid;
    But when the surprise,
    First vague shadow of surmise
    Flits across her bosom young,
    Of a joy apart from thee,
    Free be she, fancy-free;
    Nor thou detain her vesture's hem,
    Nor the palest rose she flung
    From her summer diadem.

    Though thou loved her as thyself,
    As a self of purer clay,
    Though her parting dims the day,
    Stealing grace from all alive;
    Heartily know,
    When half-gods go,
    The gods survive.

    There are so many answers to this question and I like all of the above answers. To me love is tenderness, caring, putting the other persons needs before your own, forgiveness, and compassion. Love is a strong intense force in our lives, everyone wants to be loved....

    The way I see it, love is a caring service of life for the spiritual, soul, emotional, mental and physical healths of the lovee.

    This doesn't have to be just for the partnering kind of relationship, but for friends and family as well. Others also.

    Love is to possess the world's riches in your special person.
    Love is to fulfil his dreams as though they were yours.
    Love is when a facial expression is all it takes for you to know wat's on his mind.
    Love is to stand by him no matter what.

    Love is to sacrifice your feelings when you know he'll be happier with sum1 else.
