I think I have seen a few forum topics for the past ones. It does look fun and like a free spirit kind of thing. I know there lots of videos and stuff posted on it.

i would like to go. i have two good friends that have gone many times. last year was their latest trek. i house sat for them while they were gone.

though, my friends say it's changed a lot. it's losing its grass roots artsy intention it had some time ago. so, i wouldn't experience what burning man truly was back then, but i still think it would be worth having one go.

A friend of mine goes every year and says that it's fantastic. The diversity of people there is amazing. I'd love to go if I could ever find the time/money.

I was planning for a 2009 as my first Burning man, but realized with the dissertation eating up my soul, it'll have to wait until 2010.

I went to Burnal Equinox last night. ( halfway time to Burning man) They had a model of this years burning giant playa .. fish.. I think its a pun on the Anti christian Darwin fish symbol people put on their cars since this year theme is a celebration of Darwinism.

Weather is unbelievably bad...it makes Alaska winter seem like a vacation. You need to bring shelter. Tents don't cut it. They will be blown to bits or buried in gypsum dust. You need to where a respirator sometimes. I take my Airstream trailer. The porta potties are "art works". No other way to explain that much shit.
