No , I am not starting another thread on Gay Leather Scene, we cover that already. Just wondering what do you guys think about wearing black leather. Personally, I just love it. It completely versatile, durable and masculine as hell. You can wear black leather going to theater, cinema , riding motorbike, go dancing even to go shopping. Black leather kinda make the wearer looking thinner and well...dangerous.

Sometimes I wish I am taller with broader chest and longer leg . So it will look better on me. However, I kinda reluctance to wear black leather pant, tie or even the leather cap . I think it kinda to youngish for a guy in his forties like me.

Any black leather fan here beside me? Let share...

Black leather is my favorite. I like the way it looks on a guy, and think it makes him look, like you said, masculine as hell. I love black leather boots, and how they feel around your ankles when you walk in them. They just seem to hug all the right places. I love the smell of leather, and the sound it makes when you move in it. Leather jackets are the nicest to wear, because you get to smell them for a long time right after you buy a new one. And the more it is worn, the better it looks. Weather seems to look better with age and wear to a certain degree.
I have a really nice riding jacket that I got with my first motorcycle. It's too big for me now, but I don't have a bike anymore, so I haven't made the effort to go buy a new one that fits. When I get my next bike though, I think I want a new jacket, and chaps. Ooooh, chaps..... *swoon*

If you are talking about black leather as a fashion item then I would disagree. Although I have 3 leather coats none of them are black. I love the destroyed brown leather look. I also have a chocolate colored coat.

I disagree that leather makes you look thinner. Leather buckles and is not the kind of fiber to suck in any unwanted to be seen bulges. I'm sure I would also sweat to dealth in something like leather pants. But if you're comfortable in your leather than rock it out! Enjoy!

    Daniel,

Well, I live in the tropic and of course, leather is not suitable for everyday wear. But they are excellence when I go to work (I ride my motorbike) during cold morning and when I am biking on highway . They kinda protect my skin from burning sun and also excellent to protect my cloth from smelling like traffic pollution. I have one brown colour leather jacket (those Indiana Jones type), but I rarely wear them. Anything in black usually will make you look thinner including black leather. Those stuff about how hot a leather pant will be is probably true. I never find black leather pant appealing in the first place.

Black leather vest is not economical to have , they are not that useful for biking . I still need to wear other long sleeve shirt to protect my skin against major sun burn. I would love to have a proper black leather boot. But as hot as it is here, I prefer to just wear sandal during my biking.

Have lots of aging black leather.
Two short leather dress coats. One is old and has the worn look. The other is new and I use it for work.
I rarely wear leather anymore when I ride my motorcycles. For my sportbike I have a two piece black racing suit, gloves and boots. For my Harley I have a classic motorcycle jacket, chaps and boots.

Black leather is great to wear almost anywhere. Just make sure that the cut of the pants fits you well, or you look like an idiot.
