Has anyone experienced this or know about it? I went on a wellness retreat this past weekend which was fantastic and on Saturday we did Integrative Breathwork which lasted about 4 hours. It was my second time doing it.

I know it's going to sound very strange but basically you lay down on pillows, cushions, blankets, or whatever gets you comfortable and while VERY VERY LOUD music plays you shut your eyes and just let your mind wander. You may hear tribal drums or something like a chorus of angels singing or rain or all three or something else. Someone sits with you to make sure your comfortable but doesn't really disturb you and then after about two hours you do artwork about your experience and discuss it.

The music is loud so it becomes the predominate thought in your head and drowns out the world making it easier to be at one with yourself. Eventually it becomes a secondary thought.

Anyway if you haven't tried it then yes I agree it sounds very strange and even some that have tried it still think it is strange and don't like it. I think it's fantastic and I got more out of it this time than the first time I did it which is normal since I knew what to expect. I'd probably do it more often but then I'd have to pay and I can't seem to get past the cost.
