Staying on topic, that would be a good way to recycle! I cant think of anything else needed to be used as toilet paper more than anything with GW's name on it!

Envirmental legislation=Environmental Impact Assessments=Environmental Impact statemenmts= Labour to carry out and report for EIS=People with jobs=People with money=People able to afford basic ammenities.

Sometimes solving the little issues, helps to reduce the bigger problems.

Perseverance- its the small steps that matter, not the giant leap.

There are several reasons why the Bush administration overturned the Endangered Species Act (ESA). Many suggest - and based on what is happening around my home in upstate NY, I agree - that this was a Cheney/Rove strategy. The plan was devised by Cheney and the big energy companies around the time the energy co's were given carte blanche to rape the western US countryside. The mining rights laws out west basically allow for any mining company to lease the mining rights to your land (for ore, oil, gas). The landowners have little legal recourse in the west, but there are no such laws in the northeast, which is where the largest deposit of natural gas in the U.S. sits, stuck in the Marcellus Shale deposit.

Back in 2005, the oil and natural gas industry was given the right to overlook any regulations set by the Clean Water Act. With that kind of carte blanche, along with the ability to ignore the ESA, mining companies would have unprecedented power to act quickly without fear of regulation. It's difficult to explain, so I'll provide some links for anyone interested in learning more. Perhaps the most comprehensive site out there for what's happening in the Marcellus Shale deposit (northeast US) follows:

Here's a more specific example of how ESA has hindered Halliburton and the gas/oil industry at bay, and how the industry was trying to bypass it.

I've been talking about this for about the last 18 years. No one listens to me. It's time to initiate some forced sterilization to control the birth rate of this planet. I'd be happy to volunteer "snipping" my producing capacity but being a gay male I think I'm already helping in the process to not copulate like some careless rabbit or rodent. icon_smile.gif
