Last F*&%in' night! I got done with soccer and I was heading to ballet and as I was driving I became distracted. All i thought was this cop car. All that I saw was a cop car. It was like this cop car hi-jacked everything. Not 10 seconds later...Lights.

    I'm not a happy camper...

I've had a few, and have come to think of them as something you just have to be attuned to, and if you're not attuned to them, well... you won't experience them. And it's hard to say sometimes whether they are just tricks of perception. You have to be willing to suspend disbelief, which is not an easy feat for many people.

Yes, I have had a few, not many. One was a "Christian" one with acceptance from Jesus, another was not a vision thing, but a strong sense from something strong saying that love was an intelligence, not just a feeling.

Numerous times. Many of them when sober even. Though the mescalin does help.

Ya, I woke up one morning and I found out that the sun is raising from the west !!
So then god came out of the sky, everything turned black and I could see only him ..
He said to me : you know I don't really exsist right?

No I never had a real vision but some things happened to me back then when I was a beliver .. but now they don't mean anything ..

I have had feelings of expanded consciousness in my meditation practice before but I don't consider it spiritual per se .. that is I think it is just a very unusual physical phenomena

When I was real young, there were certain little things I experienced, never really thought much about it until I got a bit older.

Was when I was about 9/10, these people moved in the house down the block from us, we were fairly new to the area as well so we didn't much know about the history of it. The people who moved in were awesome, very nice, friendly people. They also looked like they had money, they were meeting everyone in the neighborhood, the girl's husband became friends with my dad so they were always working on bikes, he was also into MMA, like my dad, and myself, and they talked about opening a gym.I played, with their kid who was my age and all, and would try to get him into training but that wasn't his thing.

I remember when I went into his house for the first time, I didn't feel too comfortable in there something was bothering me, I felt it even more the second time I went, and I never really wanted to go back into his house, and whenever he invited me, I always came up with some excuse why I couldn't go over, or had him come to my house, or we just went to the park or something.

I didn't see him for awhile a few months later, and I didn't even really see him in school, and I thought it was because his family was having problems, when I finally saw him in school he was really acting out, like he just turned into some huge troublemaker, which was odd because he was painfully shy, and not to sound mean or anything but not physically strong enough to defend himself, yet he had kids, even some teachers afraid of him.

I remember telling my dad about the things I felt over there, and the behavior change in my friend, and he saw the same thing in the husband, and he wasn't around anymore, you'd think if there was a problem with the marriage like a normal problem he'd talk to my dad about it, since they seemed so close, The mother she was always cheerful and a bit of an airhead (again not trying to be mean), but she sure as hell didn't seem like that, and needless to say I kept away from em all together.

I'd hear arguments coming from their house, and I know couples arguing isn't anything supernatural but the drastic change in them had me wondering some things. I'd hear him kicking, and punching on the door telling her he was going to kill her, and the kid, calling them all sorts of names. It kinda became a normal thing, and he'd get picked up, then it would happen again, didn't hear any of that stuff after awhile because he was gone, they were still in the house, then a couple of weeks later they were gone, and things were still in the house I remember hearing people saying they left everything there, lights were on curtains were up looked like someone should be coming back, but no one ever did.

Found out later on that the people who used to live in there before them were into some satanic stuff, like necromancy, believing they could summon spirits to enter dead bodies, the person who told me this, was going on and on about all of the occult stuff they found in the house, and I know that that stuff can do to people, so I wasn't much surprised at their behavior and all, my dad wasn't surprised either.

As for seeing ghost and all never did, but I never liked the feelings I got when I went into their house, and the drastic change in behavior made me really wonder about em. I've never had any visions, or knew anyone who has, though I do know of people who've had similar experiences like myself.

Don't think I ever tried that, but I liked anything psychedelic when I did that stuff. I probably would have loved it.

Just don't mix it with other recreationals like I did in the 90's. I had Cardassians chasing me across the dance floor once while dodging the trees that kept erupting out of the floor and bursting through the ceiling......good times.icon_biggrin.gif

It really depends on how you define spiritual experience and what conditions need to be met for an experience to be considered spiritual in nature.

Personally, I would define a spiritual experience as any change in consciousness where one's perception changes from a self or ego-centered orientation to a state of deeply interpersonal or transpersonal orientation such as happens during deep meditation on a particular object or form (nature included), non-dual awareness, or even during intense exercise or under the influence of certain chemicals (LSD, Mescaline and other mind altering substances have been mentioned).

With this description in place, definitely, I've had a number of spiritual experiences in my time ranging from a state of what yogi's would call bhakti with a particular god-form or deity (in my case this has happened during an Ignatian Spiritual Exercise retreat), conversation and vision with spirits (I have my own particular definition of what spirit could mean - not necessarily in the simplistic animist or even objective sense), and has also taken place during the various initiations I've received in Ordo Templi Orientis.

Now, I'm not entirely convinced of the objective reality of gods, angels, demons, genii, heaven, hell or any afterlife whatsoever. These can neither be proven nor disproven using materialist/structuralist science since it is part of the realm of metaphysics which is, like most philosophy, purely speculative. However, from the perspective of a post-modern interpretation where everything about the world is arbitrary, and a socially constructed symbol, if nothing inherently means anything then these things are not only possible but inevitable - reality being a symbol, reality is mutable.

I've had many experiences with spirits, and it can be dangerous too. If you're dealing with strong spirits they may cause severe vomiting and excruciating headaches for days icon_razz.gif

Ok so I didn't put my story down because i wanted to see if other people would respond.

Two years ago I was going through a very hard time. I had just same out to my parents... it was not good at all. I was so depressed and upset I was crying all the time and even thinking of suicide. Then one night i was crying in the shower, where I cried a lot. I cried for like 20 min and then I felt numb and just stared at the shower glass door for so long I cant even remember. Then the glass door started to spin around and around. After that smoke came up and was spiraling a vortex in from of me and I saw a little jewel or light. It was very bright and a voice told me to " take it" I reached out and grabbed it and instantly found myself back in my shower with my hand held out.

After all that I found my confidence return to me. I felt like I could keep going I was happy, I could handle all the bad times... It was like I found my pride or my fighter spirit again.

I dont know what it was if it was god or something else, but I'm still not sure
