    What's your favorite exercise? Why?

Mine would be running.. I just love getting outside, hot or cold, and just run... me and nature. So peaceful!

Same here. I do most of my running on the beach or in the woods. Unfortunately my knees are continuously problematic, so I'm trying to make yoga my favorite. icon_smile.gif

The hitting is a good release, and it's a good workout.

All exercises that require balancing and engage core work. usually involving a Bosu ball or a swiss ball combined with weights.

Tough one. I'd say it's a tie between the elliptical stepper, cross country skiing, mountain hiking and krav maga.

Edit: have to add Bikram yoga !

yoga- its not the best workout in terms of strength or even aerobics, but i always feel lighter and cleaner and better when i come out of it, moreso than with any other activity.

Cycling. When I go for 40 miles I get into a zen-like state. It's very nice

Squats, I'm still amazed I can move that much weight.

Worst - Bench press, my nemesis...

Hard to pick just one: Swimming laps, a hot game of tennis, lifting weights and the best of the best (for me) is water polo.

I love doing the Leg Press being only 135lbs and being able to leg press over 700lbs is awesome.
My 2nd fav is running though.

bear crawls are great. I also enjoy anything that involves torso rotation and change of direction.

I like vertical climbing - rock-face, fences, etc. Not sure if it really counts as an exercise in the gym sense, but I like the challenge of pitting myself against gravity and how it clears my mind from extraneous thoughts.

Swimming, because i don't do it FOR the exercise, but because i love it.

But i don't swim often, anymore. I don't really like public pools, so that basically leaves me with summer swimming.

So, for the rest of the year, i have to say, I walk more than anything, fairly long distances, and since i live on the base of a mountain, all walking is always up or down large hills.

but i like it because i can just listen to my ipod and it doesnt feel like exercise, it's just a break.
