    Hi Guys,

I have been going to the gym for 3 years now with mixed results. I surely thought i'd be getting more out of it, but still not dissatisfied with the results.
I am/was what the Dutch call a "Gespierde Spijker" or "Muscled Nail".

until 6 weeks ago i started a personal trainer who started with my diet. As it turns out, i was getting a measly 1400 calories a day, while working out for 3 times a week. i was eating up my muscles while trying to grow them :S

now i eat about 2800 cal a day and want to push it up to 3500.
i have gained over 6 kg (lean muscle) in that period of time. from 163 lbs to 178. My goal now is to reach 200 lbs ;)

But the only b*tch with this diet regiment is, that i didn't really know how much i was eating in protein and carbs. but i found a perfect program to do that for me. its called the Perfect Diet Tracker (http://www.byoni.com/).

For anyone who is working hard to gain weight, this is perfect assistant!
You can set your own goal, and easily add everything you eat per day and mail, and it will tell how much short you are on your daily servings. It really helped me a lot!

/oke this is the end of the infomercial haha, I'll post some new progress pics on my profile.

Good for you. After training like an idiot for years, someone finally got you to EAT.

    Calories are our friends.

    The guy is selling software.

If you want it for FREE, download the SR21 database from the USDA.

I aint selling nothing. Being a mac user and inexperienced with the right approach to dieting i just found a programme that really helped me.

If someone had pointed that out to me I would've been thankfull and so this is my way of trying to help someone else...

Sometimes the best things aren't FREE ;)

I second that Mate, i was one of those peope who worked hard and had what I thought was a good diet, no shit food, lots of water....etc...but if anything i lost weight and never gained..

Then i relaised all my hard work was going nowhere, now I eat constantly, mix of Protein and carbs.......every few hours.....i work out what i need to eat per day to reach 200g + of protein......and if I'm hungry I will eat....gained 17lbs in a year......10% body fat...205lbs

    Wow Good for you guyz

For me, this is my first time to drink Protein Whey - I've worked out several months and only drink of non fat milk and it turns out not a hard muscle which I wanted to be...

and then I've read and research some articles and advices through internet and found out the Whey Protein is a big help for growing muscles...

Now I have a questions guyz, is there any effect when you work out daily and sleep only 4-5 hours a day?

This is my 2nd week of daily workout with Whey Protein, I drink 1 scoop of Whey 10 mins. before and 1 scoop right after the work out.

Is there any bad effect on my health, is there any bad effect on my bone or on my muscle?

Oh by the way, I do usually work out before bed time.

Hope to those veterans to this field could help me with this... Thanks!
