Does Oral Sex/foreplay count as cheating?

I was talking to a buddy of mine and he told me that he'd messed around while in a monogamous relationship before but "it was just oral". In his mind, since there was no penetration (some rimming action however) that it didn't count as "cheating"...

I disagreed saying that if you were in a monogamous relationship, even just a passionate kiss with another guy was cheating (no matter how drunk you were)...

    What do you think?

Definitely cheating, unless in an open relationship where both partners have agreed it is acceptable.

I've best heard cheating described as "doing something you wouldn't do with your partner in the room"

This is a no brainer, it's cheating. What dictionary is he holding that the definition of cheating is 'no penetration'? If his going by that definition, his mouth is being penetrated by a penis.

What if someone accidentally falls on top of your penis open-mouth first? Surely, there has to be an exception/clause to the charter of fundamental principles of monogamy. icon_eek.gif

If it's "just oral", then it's "just beating another guy off", or it's "just fucking".

Jesus how can anyone be so disconnected? OF COURSE IT'S FUCKING CHEATING!!

i would say just going on a date, or drunkenly kissing another guy, while in a monogamous relationship is cheating.

if its something you'd be uncomfortable with your boyfriend standing there watching you do, then yeah, don't do it. or, if you need to get some things out of your system, you have no business being in a committed relationship; do the right thing for both parties and break up until some stability and maturity have sunk in.

that would be my advise for those in this quandary.

Actually, I don't think Bill Clinton actually said that... I think it was that producer/actor friend of his... you know... the guy from Jurassic Park...

According to ex Democratic president Bill Clinton, no it's not. Because he never had sexual relations with that women.

    Cigar any body....

Cheating, definitely. Should there even be a question? Can you imagine a husband coming home to his wife and saying, "Honey, I ate out my secretary, but it's ok, I didn't stick it in her. What's for dinner?" Pretty sure the wife would consider that cheating. Are the guidelines different for monogamous gay men? I hope not.
