In terms of brain chemistry - and specific brain sections' sizes - scientists are amassing evidence that gay men and straight women have more in common that what was believed possible 20 years ago.

I wish there was a scientist with expertise here right now that could back me up. I've read many of the abstracts of research on gay peoples' brain and physical differences in comparison to straight folks, and have participated in one smell study (Monell Science Institute, Philadelphia 1999-2000).

However, I don't think this is what you were thinking about discussing Charlitos, was it...?

Each one of us is unique and special! *claps hands excitedly*

    heh, sorry - I couldn't help myself.

If you went purely by stereotype, women are more attracted to the handsome guy who's still sensitive, while gay men look for the real guy's guy ("If you're a man, act like one! LOL ROFL" blah blah).

But, as looknrnd pointed out, what attracts each person is more a property of individual character and is definitely unique from person to person.

im just curious, because in this topic:

    http://www.realjock.com/gayforums/453511/

that its about why we dont find women attractive...well all the answer seem to be a good reason why straight women in general wouldnt like another woman either...so i was just wondering whats the real difference when it comes to like a guy?

Guys are visual so it's mostly about looks. You have some that aren't all about looks but a lot less than most women.

Looks are the primary thing that attracts us compared to most women. Women are more concerned about what's inside as apposed to the outside package.
Looks are what is attractive but you need to back it up with some personalty and depth as far as I'm concerned. icon_smile.gif

Gays and girls mating dance are totally different. A gay guy mates like a tango. It takes two. One gives out signals, while the other accepts are refuses them. It's not very conversational. We judge guys by the things they do. Not really by what a guy says"He was looking at me in the gym like that" etc Gays read alot into body language trying to decode if a guy is gay or not.

Girls react to what a guy says. They need that conversational element that is not really apart of the gay mating dance. Words can really light up a girls heart. That's why alot of striaght guys tell girls alot of bullshit. The guys who can keep the conversation going. Usually has the girls’ attention. Example some of the hottest girls have boyfriends that are really talkative.

Ask average looking str8 men if women are interested in their personalities.
Might be giving the fair sex too much credit here.

I say there are 3 strategies to pursue romance:
    1. str8 woman targeting a man
    2. str8 man targeting a woman
    3. gay man (or woman) targeting a gay man (or woman)

#3 can be just like either 1 or 2, but much faster.

Homer Simpson: "What is it called when a guy is gay for a girl?"
    Marge: "Straight".

I've been wondering this too. It seems that men like muscle more than women, but that could just be that all the women are not letting on.
