My name is Mike and though I escaped the dreaded "Mikey", sometime during 3rd grade my friends started calling me "Nick". I couldn't tell you why. It stuck with me till around 7th grade.
My Mom had a cow when I was referred to as Nick.

There aren't many Jewish kids named Nick.

    What was your nickname?

I've had a multitude of nick names:

    - Geritol
    - Geraldine
    - Geraldo
    - Flopper
    - Duck Boy

I like nick names, they seem like terms of endearment.

"Mickey" and "Dumbo" back in grade school, mostly because I had huge ears that stuck-out like crazy....

When people call me Mickey now, though, they don't seem to remember the reason and it's more a term of endearment. I've grown to like it.

I got called "doughnut" by my dad for reasons I don't remember.

In Highschool I got called 'Gutterball" based on my skills in bowling, and my brother was called "airball" based on his skill playing basketball.

My name's Jarrod so I was called J-rod for a while. In high school I was also called Gameboy due to constantly having my gameboy system out and playing a videogame during lunch or something, lol. My brother still calls me that.

My first nickname was: "leather ass."

As when I was given the leather strap as a wee one, I refused to cry. Not much has changed.icon_biggrin.gif
