Does anyone recommend a powder free of sucralose, malitol or sorbitol? These additives are wreaking havoc on my digestive system.

ProComplex by Optimum Nutrition is sweetened with sucralose and/or aspartame. It's uber pricey though.

Malitol and sorbitol will make your ass explode. You'll be retrieving bits of it with a pool skimmer and trying to sew the pieces back together if you're not careful.

Oooo those protein shakes piss me off more than fat free sour cream!! (if your going to eat it...don't be a pussy about it!!!)

Yes, I would highly advise staying away from ANYTHING!! with artificial...well anything. It's not good for you and that's all there is to that.

They do the same thing to me! I use the ones with plain old fructose, or stevia .. I can even tolerate NutraSweet. You can get some without the artificial sweeteners if you look.

I use Nature's Best UNFLAVORED Isopure Whey Protein Isolate. No sweeteners or additives of any kind.

I recommend buying pure whey protein in bulk from either of these two sites:

Optimum Nutrition's Natural line of powders are sweetened with stevia. So you get an all-natural non-caloric sweetener.

OMFG! That's exactly what I wanted to say, Guerrilla! Although on the Canadian prairies, I'm known for "crop dusting" as you once so aptly put it.

Good choices guys, I'll look into them.

Trader Darwin's Whey Proten Powder from Trader Joe's is sweetened with fructose. The chocolate tastes great and mixes easily. I gag on anything containing sucralose.

High quality protein and meal replacement shakes that contain 100 percent pure whey protein isolate, not some crappy blend and it is not made with artificial sweeteners.

Jay Robb makes a whey protein sweetened with stevia, which is natural.

You could also just buy unsweetened/unflavored stuff (NOW Foods is a cheap, high-quality brand) as others have suggested and flavor it yourself -- e.g., add cocoa powder and/or stevia/sugar (depending on your needs).
